Silly Jokes for Silly Kids. Children's joke book age 5-12 Kindle Edition

I am a first grade teacher. My students loved these jokes. I often use jokes as an incentive (if you can pack up in ___ minutes, I will tell you 2 jokes....). There are TONS of jokes in this book and they all seem very appropriate for kids. There were several that my 1st graders were able to understand but also some that they didn't get that would be for older kids. This didn't seem like a negative to me, I think this book is a good joke book for different aged kids because there were jokes that everyone could enjoy.

My kids love this book. Are some of the jokes a little cheese? Sure. Are there good ones in there too? Yep. Some even made me chuckle. My kids will learn them and go tell their friends. My daughter is 7 and loves most of the jokes. My son is almost 9 and has Aspbergers (High functionifm autism) and so sometimes he doesn’t get jokes or what might be considered a joke. He has memorized some jokes from this book and goes to school and tells his classmates. It makes him feel good knowing how to make people laugh now.

Great basic jokes for kids that are silly and approprite. Makes a great gift!

This is the best joke book I have ordered for my funny grandchildren. My husband and I were actually laughing at some of these jokes. Simple one liners that will tickle your funny bone. I recommend this one. Others I have ordered were...well...really corny and not funny.

I got this based on all the positive reviews thinking I could up my humor credibility with my 10 year old daughter. Making a game out of it complete with silly voices, I started reading to see whether she or her mom would laugh first. I quickly determined this was not a hit. I guess my other halves aren't silly enough for this silly humor. The majority of the jokes were met with either a straight face, eye roll, or "Lame!" The only reason I give this 3 stars is because I found it mildly entertaining and witty. I guess I have the sense of humor of a 5 year old.***UPDATE***I had to update my review from 3 to 5 stars because recently, my now almost 11 year old daughter made us guess the punchline to these jokes for over an hour. I told her about my initial review, and she said, "You cannot not like this book because it's so stupid." There you have it... she now finds it entertaining.

Grandson loves it. Most of the reading is simple enough yet has some challenging words. He is a beginning reader and this was one book he was happy to read on his own. And, even better, the jokes were simple enough for him to understand and made him and the whole family laugh.

Sorry, just a lot of them don't make sense to a 6 year old. There are many repeats and the book is filled with ghost and witch jokes. It's not something that I wanted to discover when reading this to my son at bedtime when he's already afraid of the dark.I did like how the jokes were spaced on the page. There's a lot of white-space between the jokes so that it's easy to read for kids and adults.A suggestion would be to, perhaps, organize the jokes into chapters. Say, a chapter on animal jokes. A chapter on fruit and vegetable-themed jokes and a chapter on doctor-patient jokes.I'm looking for another book. I just can't read this more than once.The good thing about joke books is that it may give your shy child something to break the ice when meeting new adults or other new children. My son is initially shy, but given the arsenal of a few good silly jokes, allows him to try them out on new adults and children and builds a bit of rapport right from the start. It also encourages your child to want to read more and memorize new jokes for this same purpose.

This has been bought for a 7 year old boy for Christmas, but I couldn't resist reading it when it arrived. It's great, loads of silly jokes which will make parents and children snigger alike!!Text is bold and clear so 7 year old will have no problem reading it.

This was great fun on Christmas day. Right up my 8 year old grandson's street. Easy to read and easy to laugh at. We all had fun. Well worth the money and it arrived on time. Would recommend.

my 7 year olds favourite book so far. his reading in school is very good, but this is teaching him the fun side of reading, and his understanding of exclamations etc is much better now. Hours of fun. great for long car journeys.

Xmas present so not read it

Bought this for my six year old Granddaughter and luckily the jokes are not too bad. It has helped with her reading.
