Bought this for my son to use on our vacation hiking in the Rockies. He is 54 inches, and this size worked well for him. It was sturdy enough on some rather challenging trails. He was a big fan of the flashlight and compass. My only problem with it was that it was a little difficult to get it to collapse for packing. It may have gotten slightly bent with use (don't know how that could happen with a ten-year-old boy - whistling innocently) but eventually I was able to telescope it back down.

The stick did not come with any instructions on how to extend/collapse or use the light! I emailed the seller and never received information or guidance. It is a very nice walking stick. However, I am unable to use it for the reason I purchased it. After taking a severe fall I need light when walking in unlit or poorly lit areas. It would be great to receive a response on how to use the light.

It's OK. Takes some adjusting to get correct length. Don't understand the need for adjustments in so many areas btt it is what it is. Didn't know it came with a compass. Would be nice if it worked but since it wasn't expected it won't be missed. I just don't like having a feature, whether I wanted it or not, that doesn't work. Not worth sending back for that. Think it will suffice for the use I intend.

Came in very handy at Machu Picchu and Galapagos for hiking and climbing big steps. Seemed to bend a bit when extended to max length. Also, screwing/unscrewing the stick was a bit temperamental. The battery died not long after I got it, as the twisting on/off may have left the LED light on. The compass was totally useless - it didn't work at all.

I like this cane it is handy and light. the fact that it's collapsible is great i'm short so I can adjust it to my height.it also has alight which can help for walking in the dark or finding a keyhole in a dimly-lit building. I would recommend highly recommend it.

It did not come with any instructions and there is a free, unattached piece that I have yet to identify. It's okay. I bought it to use as a disabled person and it is a bit hard to lock/unlock to adjust, so if your hands, like mine, are a bit weak, you might need assistance.

Purchased this for my father in law. He loves it. The spring tension is perfect for absorbing shock, can be adjusted to correct length needed per individual. The light is a plus when he returns home in the late evening so he can see his key and the lock to get into the outside of the building where its not well lit. LOL yes its true it can be used for defense or if in the desert for picking cactus pears. Thanks for making available.

I bought this cane because I wanted to have one with a flashlight. I chose this one instead of another that had better reviews because I could choose the color. It has been good for walking although the antishock is not as good as the one I had before. But what has bothered me the most is the quality of the flashlight since it is hard to turn on; it took me a long time to learn how to do that. In addition, the batteries run out very soon and I had to buy new ones, which added to the cost of the cane.
