Make sure you use a dimmer
This is a great fixture for the price. Make sure you use a dimmer, 6 bulbs can be bright!

LOVE it!
My husband and I are redoing our basement and we are going for sort of a cozy coffee shop/downtown loft vibe. We knew we wanted sputnik lights but there are about a zillion different types/styles/brands to sift through. We narrowed it down to a few and one that we really loved was $150 per unit and this was was $46.98 per unit and they were very similar. We nearly went with the other one because we were worried that this one would be cheap. In fact, we ordered the more expensive one and had buyer's remorse and cancelled before they were sent, and decided to get this one instead. And I am SO HAPPY WE DID! The quality of these fixtures is amazing. You would never know they were $50 light fixtures. They look really neat and create such a nice, cozy feel to the room. We did buy dimmers and I 100% recommend that you do the same. When the lights are all the way up it's nice if you're doing a project or something, but most of the time when we are hanging out down there we have the lights dim and it's such a great vibe. We get sooo many compliments on the lights. If you are worried that these will look cheap, put it out of your head because we think they look great and are so happy we saved ourselves $200!

Great light with a few adjustments
This was fairly easy to put up (by one person, not an electrician) and looks gorgeous. It probably isn’t the same quality as a $500 chandelier from somewhere else, but nothing noticeable—I love it. I put in Edison bulbs and don’t find it too bright. I put a ceiling medallion up as well, and I did have to use an X-Acto knife to cut space on the ceiling medallion to accommodate the screws of this light. I also had to buy longer screws then the ones it came with, again because of using the medallion. I also replaced the ground wire because the one it came with was a bunch of strands and fell apart really easily. I would recommend that the manufacturer uses a better ground wire, and removed a star for that.UPDATE - Upgrading this review to five stars, as the manufacturer has great customer service and mailed me a new downrod for free when I lost the smaller down rod option. Thanks!!

Easiest Install To-Date
This was the easiest light fixture I have hung of the dozens done. It looks great, really fits the room, and creates the perfect mood. Highly recommended.

Allow time and a little frustration to install, but worth the effort.
Be prepared to have extra hardware. The screws provided to attach the canopy to are not the best. They have an angle to the head like a wood screw and it is not easy to get them tight enough to take the decorative thumb screws. Assembly was really straight forward, installation was fiddly. About what I would expect for the price though. I have no regrets, as it looks great in the kitchen. 40 watt equivalent bulbs were good for our smaller kitchen, 60 watt were way bright.

THIS is YOUR SPUTNIK FIXTURE!
I’ve been looking at the same Sputnik fixture; 12, 8, 10 lights, etc. I ordered one from another seller and the package was lost. I panicked because I was having people over for a Halloween party that weekend, so I order this one which was cheaper and HD only 6 lights. I’m so glad I did! It’s simplistic and gives the right amount of mid-century modern feel with the gold accents. My living room ceiling is slightly vaulted making it 10 ft. It doesn’t look small because we used one of the extension rods to lower the fixture. I’ve received compliments left and right!
