GPX PC301B Portable CD Player with Stereo Earbuds and Anti-Skip Protection (PC301B),Black, Single

Bought it for work to plug in our stereo receiver, but i failed to check that it does not have an auxiliary output to hook it up to it. I tried using various jacks and corks to run from headphone port but it does not work. Overall, this player works excellent on it's own with the earbuds. Battery Life is what you put into it, is what you get out of it. Don't go cheap. Depends on usage. or just buy the power adapter for regular use.

I was happy with the purchase, the design is similar to a CD player I had about a decade ago that died. The sound quality and features are more than fine on this player. The head set supplied is terrible, but it has a non proprietary jack port so a better headset can be used easily. It might not be very sturdy for a teenager or child.

It's a great cheap cd player to hook to a sound system until you can afford a nicer one. DO NOT buy this used/like new. I bought one used from Amazon Warehouse and it didn't work, had them replace it w/ a second and it didn't work either. Not worth saving just a few bucks off a brand new one.

This CD player lasts longer than others we've had! Tougher and more sturdy, which is important with our kids.

As everyone is saying .... the buttons are very hard to see. I touched the wrong button to play and there is no reset button to set the programming right again. So I press "play," it runs a few seconds and then there is a knock sound and it shuts off. Turning it on again, it starts the disc over and then does the very same thing. THERE IS NO RESET BUTTON to correct whatever I pressed originally. So there goes another $38.00 down the drain in this lesson in futility. The operating instruction paper does not tell you what to do to trouble-shoot this problem. Trying another disc does the same thing, i.e., shuts off after a few seconds of playing. I am very disappointed and wish I never purchased this item. Caveat Emptor!!!

I say if you are old school and just want to listen to a few CDs that you have on the comfort environment of your home, you're good to go with this baby. It is not meant to be use on the road.The Good:-The "Anti-Skip" protection works to some extend.-It worksThe Bad:-Feels cheap, the plastic used makes the CD player feel like a kid's toy.-The button to open the CD player is not secure enough, you can open the cover by mistake, even though the button is kind of study.-The headphone is a joke (they came broken+ bad quality)-There is not HOLD button (so you have to always be careful when you are using this player on your pockets.)Overall... if you need it for just to play some good old songs in your home, go for it. But if you are a person who values quality over utility then this item is not for you.I feel like this CD Player may last a while... but stay tune, I will write another review later on.

Love it! Can’t remember the last time I bought a CD player was but I needed one to help learn German, the only CD player I have these days is in my car. So I bought this CD player to help from the comfort of my house! Great purchase! From the moment I ordered it I felt the nostalgia and was so excited for it to arrive!It’s straight forward to use, uses AA batteries which are not included, and comes with cheaply made ear buds. The earbuds are a no for me, I just used my iPhone earbuds the sound was great through those! It started right up no issues!! I may just go buy a few cds so I can take the bad boy camping!!!

First of all I prefer c.d. to I pod ext. But I realize that as it's no digital it will never be perfect. However this comes close it still allows me to listen to my collection. The anti skip works perfectly and the volume control is buttons not dial so you can't accidentally increased/decrease it (it will reset to a lower volume automatically when you turn it off). The open/ close button is a little stiff until you wear it in a little. One thing it has NO volume the first time you try it so be sure when you turn it on you turn the volume up which turns it on only had this happen the first time.Overall very very pleased with this c.d. player.

Feels like a lower quality device because it is so light weight but it plays perfectly and exactly as it should.

I bought this to attach to my old Sony mini system. It's an old stereo but the sound quality is still amazing. The cd player inside was no longer working so I bought this little cd player to attach to it to play cds. Its a slick little player, looks great. Hooked up my stereo and off we went! Dancing around in my living room in no time. I think it is decent quality for using it through a stereo or car. I recommend it

I have a number of CDs that won't get digitized, and I also have a CD player on the computer and also for the HiFi. I bought this for its obvious application - to use portable and privately. It will run from rechargable AA batteries (2) just fine. You do not get a charger with the CD Palyer tho. You'll have to find one yourself. There is a play buffer so it has some vibration immunity. Where it is wanting is in the usability department. The control buttons are black, as is the unit. The function is embossed on the button slightly raised. Thats it. The embossing needs to also be painted a different color - perhaps yellow or white. Until I memorize the button function placement I'm required to hold the unit up to the light at the proper angle in order to use it. VERY annoying. Since this will have casual use, there's little chance this memorization will last for long. If you think you can get beyond that issue, then yes, I can recommend this CD Player. It does the job, but also note that the build not robust. I wouldn't expect that for the price, but I caution future owners to be gentle.
