BluKat Cat Litter Box Deodorizer - Odor Eliminator - Moisture Absorber - 11 Ounces

I bought this product because I live in a Manhattan apartment where the kitchen, living and dining room are all one area, and the ONLY place the litter box would fit. I got tired of being hot with the stench on the litter box coming home every night and then having to put up with it while having dinner or watching tv.Upon receiving this product, I opened it, and was unpleasantly surprised by the smell; a strong floral scent like what you find in carpet powder. I sprinkled it into the freshly changed cat box (with feline pine) and has to struggle the rest of the night to ignore the scent.About 2 weeks later, I can attest that the product seems to work. No more overpowering scent of feces in the home. It also seems to prevent wet litter from sticking to the bottom of the box when changing the litter.If only I could get used to the scent. I'm sensitive to fragrance and think it's irritating my sinuses.

I have 7 cats including 4 six month old kittens. I also have 3 litter robots, so litter box odor isn't a huge issue in my house, but I'm always looking for ways to improve. I've only been using this stuff for a few days but i do really like it so far, although I'm not using it exactly as instructed. Instead of using it in the actual litter box I put a couple shakes in the waste drawer to help absorb odors. I do think its helping without just covering up the odor, but it's not totally eliminating it or anything. I like the ways this smells (kinda like bubble gum) and that its natural, so I'm going to buy more.

BluKat Cat Little Box Deoderizer works. I like several things about this product: 1) It's not a powder, it is granule. For a person with asthma who insists on her kitties having a wonderfully clean box (scoop every day), it's great to not have to worry about powder floating in the air; 2) The heavy perfume used in other products is off-putting and I don't like smelling it, even when it is just in the cabinet, and I don't like it when my furry friends jump on my lap smelling like that heavy perfume. BluKat doesn't leave a smell on my cats; 3) BluKat leaves an absence of smell. When you first use it you smell some sort of essential oil smell, clean, antiseptic almost, and then later....nothing....no litter smell, no fragrance smell; 4) Lastly, the container is easy to use and store, it's not too tall, etc., and the round shape/size is easy to grasp and use; 5) My cats made the change from the old deodorizer to BluKat with no problems at all (maybe the most important factor in my rating!). My suggestions for the company are: do something about the shaker top, the white thing one needs to knock out in order to be able to sprinkle the granules is hard to get out; consider offering a twofer pack at some sort of special price, or a case of 4, etc; BluKat as a name isn't helpful with understanding the purpose of your product, why this name; and lastly, are you available at PetSmart or others and if so how well can you compete price point-wise with the other, less competent but cheaper, cat deodo brands, can you adjust your price accordingly or should you identify your specialness somehow on your can, use once, and get ~X number of daily sifts before needing to use again, etc? Somehow you need to state how less is better, sickening perfume smell of other brands is missing, people who can't tolerate strong smells or powders in the air will prefer this, etc.

I have to admit we didn't even use it. The smell coming from the container was something we couldn't imagine our cats ever coming near and didn't want them not using the litter box. It smells kind of like Clove or Cinnamon, and we thought that's the kind of smells you used to keep animals away? Maybe it works, but we didn't want to risk it.

I just don't know where to start. This thing really helped my small apartment smells fresh all the time. I have 2 cats, and their litters are in my livingroom since I don't have any large spaces in my one bedroom apartment. I was feeling shy to let any one come in my home because of the odors. I tried soooo mush to control it even though I always scoop them every evening. I tried almost everything to at least eliminate the odors, but they just work half of the job. Whenever they use the litter the smells still strong and unbearable. I really loved this blukat shaking litter spices. It's easy to apply after you scoop just spread a little 4 or 5 shakes on the top, and let the kitties do thier digging job. I use it every 3 or 2 days whenever I feel the odor starts to come, so just a little goes a long way. The price is ok for the effectiveness and the amount, it's in a salt container size. My cats have no problem with it they use their litter emmediatly. The last thing I would like to mention is the smell of the product. It has that fresh sweet spices aroma. It smells like cinnamon and clover which is great for me. Thank you very much BluKat producers, now I can let my sudden guests come in HAPPLY.

I have lived with cats--lots of cats--for my entire life. Despite many decades as a devoted cat lover, and spending lots of money on high-end litter boxes, I always wished that litter-box odor was not a part of my life. Having recently moved to a small home where the only place for the litter boxes is a bathroom right off of the kitchen, I decided that I had to find some way to improve the litter box situation. Daily cleaning (I use Swheat Scoop--and have two litter boxes for two cats) wasn't enough to keep the odor under control. So I hit amazon and started looking. I read the reviews about BluKat and was skeptical. First of all, I'm extremely sensitive to chemical smells (I loathe perfume) and I don't like the idea of just covering up a bad smell with a flowery bad smell. But heck, people were raving about the product, so I gave it a try. BLUKAT, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? This stuff is amazing. It truly neutralizes the odor. The mild fragrance isn't overwhelming, and my cats didn't seem to even notice that I'd added it to their litter. I don't even have to clean the litter boxes every day anymore. I'm so thrilled with this product that I would give it ten stars if I could. Will be buying for decades to come. Thank you, BluKat!
