I really wanted to love Shelta hats. There is one signifiant fail for me and that is brim paddling at the forehead. The rigid plastic piece that gives the brim it’s shape places pressure on the band and overcomes the provided paddling creating a hot spot. Thicker padding or a slight reconfigure of the intersection between brim and padding could make this hat perfect. For me, it’s unwearable. So, two stars for lack of comfort.

Yeah, this hat costs more than the cheapy ones but the built-in bill and its floatiness is great. I'm not a Boonie hat guy, but I've grown tired of burning my ears every time out in the sun and forget the sun screen, and this thing is great and even seems to knock down the heat a little bit while out in the Nevada heat. Its quality made and definitely great, I'm probably going to pick up a second one for hunting season.

Perfect for my husband. He’s out in the sun a lot, and this hat is perfect for him. It covers his ears. He loves it.

Second purchase. Great hat for the beach and boating.

The bill is a game changer. Will have to see how it holds up. Fit is as expected.
