Nice cutters
Length is good, my only problem was how heavy it is and I'm 5'6 female so had to get my son in to use it excellent item and I'm not complaining as it done what it's meant to do and easy to use, now assembly was a bit confusing on putting it together but got it together in the end, the lead is very very long so perfect in length. Very sturdy but found the strap clip bent easily when you moved it the strap over your body to take off and on but sorted the clip out in the end. Worth the money I paid for the item, performance was great. Balancing was hard especially when your only a certain height.

Great for the money
Whenever anyone writes 'great for the money' you kind of think that it is not that good, but that is unfair. It is easy to assemble, easy to disassemble, easy to use and cuts thicker branches that a hedge. It is a little heavy when fully extended and you are in an awkward position and trying to maneuver around things .. so I would be happier if it were less than 1kg .. but you just have to stop, rest and continue. However it does do what I need it to do which is to trim trees into shape, cut off the tops and reach reach places I can not get to with a hand trimmer. The strap works well to assist in maneuverability and the angle options allow me to be standing further back (because something is in the way) and use the changing head angles to get a flat top. It is this overstretching and holding so high up that makes it feel like it weighs more than it does .. if I could stand flat against a hedge and trim the top whilst resting it on my shoulder - it would be a doddle .. but then if I could to that I would probably just get two ladders and board and a hand cutter .. so this is a brilliant piece of equipment - and I doubt I would find anything I would be happier with - petrol might be more powersful, but I do not need more power, petrol may not have a cable, but the cable does not get in my way - it is just the weight that I am not so young, but an older or more frail person might struggle with.

Good solution to trimming tall hedges.
Seems to be quite a well made product and has a usefully long power lead. Does get a bit heavy and unwieldy when extended to max length, but then so would any tool designed to do this job.

Great value, fast delivery
Great value. I read the reviews before buying. A lot of reviews said that it is cumbersome & heavy to use. Yes, it can be heavy but that’s to be expected when it has a large motor. My advice is just take more rests. I didn’t bother with the sling/harness thing, so can’t comment on that. Adjustable head is great for trimming tops of hedges and creating a box shape finish. The motor is powerful and blades cut really well. It also has a fairly long electric cord. I chose corded over cordless, as in previous experience, cordless trimmers aren’t as powerful. Overall, it’s great value for money

Good value - but at a price
I've used the trimmer for the last 3 years, it's now given up the ghost with the internals broken. For the price it's pretty decent and does a good job of cutting. The strap is meaningless for working on tall hedges and when the head is off centre becomes very heavy, so unless you have a lot of strength in your shoulders you'll grow tired within the hour.Would I buy one again? Almost... but the weight of it is the downside. If you are using it occasionally for short sessions, then it's great value.

Reaches good height but it is cumbersome to use
I bought this trimmer two years ago primarily to keep the top of two high hedges in order. This is a useful tool when you are dealing with high hedges and trees. The extension allows you very decent reach but my main issue with this Is the weight. Like others I find it quit difficult to wield it for more than a minute or two even using the support belt. It’s especially awkward if you are on a ladder so using it on very hedges presents an issue but it does the job itself pretty well.

Poor design, cumbersome and heavy
Bought this to cut big wide hedges to avoid clambering up ladders but I’m disappointed with this trimmer. I couldn’t reach the power buttons at the same time as having the weight of the device born by the shoulder strap even on its smallest adjustment. So I ended up having to press the handle using a different grip and the whole contraption was uncomfortable for me to use. With the weight on the straps it was then digging into my neck.It did the job of cutting the hedge without garrotting my neck but I’m not happy with it and will probably revert to my traditional Bosch hedge cutter and ladders next time as it’s a much more ergonomic design and grip. Might be ok if you’re the size of the man in the pictures (although he isn’t using the harness in all pics either) but I’m only 5 foot 2

Works well for me
Used for cutting an 8ft tall beech hedge top and it worked very well.Yes, as others have said, it IS a bit heavy, but if you use the shoulder strap correctly, it works with not too much bother.I found that by putting the base of the handle into my body and allowing the strap to take the weight, it didn't make my arms or back ache - and I'm an unfit 74 yr old! I might add a bit more padding to it over the shoulder, to make it even more comfortable. Not sure I'd want to use it to cut much higher than that, but I have a 15ft bit of laurel hedge to have a go at soon, so we'll see!
