Updated.Not bad overall, if you using 5G, not 2G. Because it's much faster, and also if you use usb 3.0 in your laptop. I don't know how much it gets on usb 2.0 so don't ask.Okay, lets start my test. First of all there is no big difference that I have found on my integrated WiFi antenna in my laptop, and this device on 5G network connected via Wifi through our modem in Apartments. It's almost the same speed, and when you download from internet, it can depend on your network and how bussy it is, but it will be around 6mb/sec on 5G. I said that roughly, of course if you have at home 1000mb/second, then you might get 100mb/sec.So I do recommend this device if you dont have integrated wifi in your computer and you sit next to your modem closer, because as I said the speed on 2G twice smaller than on 5G. And it depends how faraway your modem is.Integrated WiFi gets sometimes 10mb/sec on 5G, so I don't know how this thing can get, as I only tested around 5-10 minutes, to give you quick description. You decide, but it's good overall for 20 quids.I might share picture which shows the speed online.

Very encouraging piece of kit. I have a large 1900ac network with 1900ac extenders but have always had an unreliable connection to my workshop which is 40 yards out. This gizmo is rock solid and giving me 34mbps on 5g. 26 on 2.4. The drivers disk was corrupt but I did a search and picked up the same Realtek drivers straight away. I would definately recommend this.

My desktop PC has no PCI-E slots so being unable to get a wireless networking card I was somewhat skeptical at how good this wifi dongle would be. I'm happy to say that it's far better than my last one and I have gone from 17.5Mbps to 70.5Mbps download speed. Finally I'm able to watch videos in 1080p (quite possibley 4k if my monitor was good enough) aswell as reliabley download games. I very much appreciate that it came with a USB 3 to USB 3 connector so I was able to move it around to get a good signal.

This dongle is amazing. On purchase, you will receive the main USB dongle, 2 screw-on antennas, a mini CD driver to help your computer understand and install the dongle (Windows 10 should set it up on its own), a male to female USB extender and a 1 year VIP warranty pass.The setup is really easy. Just screw on the antennas to both ends of the dongle and then plug in the dongle on its own into your PC it use the USB extender and place it where it performs best (NOTE: If your PC does not understand the dongle, insert the mini CD drive into your disc drive and then it should work on the next following steps. Then point both antennas towards your main WiFi router or booster. Then go to your WiFi settings, and select your WiFi’s name and enter your password (if you have one on which you should). It should then connect to the WiFi. Now the next step is recommended by me. Go to speedtest.net on your browser and hit the go button to see your dongle’s intake on your WiFi. I’d you believe that your dongle has weak performance against your router. Try re-locating the antennas as best you can to the router. Then hopefully you shall receive the best results.For me, I would recommend this to anyone especially if you have a custom-built PC that has no WiFi receiver inside. I also recommend this as an upgrade, replacement or for beginners. I just got this today, as and upgrade from my TP-Link 300 MPHs dongle. My PC is located upstairs of my house and my WiFi Router downstairs, in the other side of the house. Ever since I got the TP-Link dongle, it had great results giving 40 MPHs on average for the past 4 months. But recently. I’ve been receiving terrible connections using it. I only got 10-20 (or less) MPHs on average, so I figured it was time to upgrade. Then I found this one, with decent reviews and it claiming that it can go up to 1200 MPHs, really caught me. And the price was decent, too. So I purchased it and came to my door today. I unboxed it and, assembled it, and plugged it in to my gaming PC. I have a Windows 10 PC, so after plugging it in, it managed to set it up on its own, it just takes a few minutes. I’m glad I didn’t need to use the driver. Then I went to my WiFi settings and connected to my WiFi. After testing on speedtest.net, there was a HUGE difference compare to my old dongle. I was getting 50-100 MPHs on average compared to 10-20 MPHs. It feels so nice to have a fast connect. I’m used to opening Google Chrome and waiting for about a minute for the new tab to load. But now, it loads in 2 seconds! It also is amazing for gaming use too. Very rarely is there Internet lag with this dongle. It’s completely smooth, especially for Fortnite and Star Wars Battlefront 2.Honestly, I never right reviews on products I purchase on Amazon. But I want to make it clear to anyone who’s on the look out for a new and good dongle, especially when their PC is on the other side of the house away from the router, I would 100% recommend this to anyone in the need of a good dongle. The performance, the price and everything else about it is amazing. If your need to buy a good dongle, this is the one, no doubt!

Once I got the unit stable, it performed very well, I am getting 71mbps on a maximum line of 80mpbs under the 5GHZ band. The issue is with the drivers. The drivers on the supplied disc did not work, could not connect at all. Various other drivers were either unable to connect or gave constant proxy errors. Finally found a Realtec 8812BU Wireless Lan 802.11ac USB NIC driver = 25/12/17, driver version 1030.25.701.2017I am running Windows 10 PRO, Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362. Highly recommended if you can get the correct driver, since I have installed this it has been very stable, no proxy errors, no dropouts.

Really strong signal, much better than a previous USB adaptor. It’s used to play games where signal strength was previously an issue, but no problem now.Delivers whatever your router is capable of, and is 2nd purchase as previous installation elsewhere was impressive so didn’t hesitate to buy another!No rating for tech support as it wasn’t needed!

For a while now we have been using a gigabit powerline adaptor to connect to the router. Unfortunately this has gradually degraded from an initial connection speed of over 50Mbps down to 23Mbps, often dropping as low as 15Mbps.Various resets and re-configurations have not helped so I decided to look for a WiFi alternative. This item stuck out as it had so many good reviews. Next day Prime delivery and just as promised it worked on Windows 10 without installing any drivers.As you can see from the picture supplied, our connection speed on a 5Ghz network, is now the same as we would have hard wired directly to the router.Although not the prettiest of dongles, I would definitely recommend this product.
