Thanks for the memories
I truly love this series and hope someday, somehow, the anime gets a continuation because it deserves it. I started reading this back in High School when it was first published under Go Comi and was disappointed when it looked like it wouldn't continue beyond volume three, so I gave up hope. Fast forward to a few years ago when I learned it had been continued and the volumes were available. Fast forward to a few months ago where I finally decided to continue and finish this series that has been so dear to my heart. There's a high and rare quality with the writing in the terms of how they give us just enough to satisfy us and answer questions the story opens, but leave us wanting more. Which is how I felt throughout this entire series. We got backstories and lore and development of characters and their relationships but I was always left wanting more. Is this a bad thing? In this case, no, because I had all of my questions answered and nothing was left confusing or vague. I was left wanting more, not needing it, which is very important to any story in how its told. It's okay to leave your audience wanting more. Can I also just compliment how good at writing character deaths these two are? Because oooh boy, there are some deaths, mainly in the second half of this series. Either they give us hope that said character will survive or they just abruptly kill them before we have the chance to realize what's happening. I love it when authors catch me off guard like that. Now, I did have a few minor complaints about this series. The hawkzile race that spanned over three volumes? Yeah, I didn't really care for that, especially since those segments were used moreso for comic relief. I wish the characters had found another means of getting to the districts. The other thing that bothered me is that we don't see what happens to some of the characters in the epilogue. Hakuren and Ouka specifically. They were a big part of Teito and how he grew as a person, yet they are absent, no visual of them when the story is closing. Yet we get glimpses of the two combat slaves and the comic relief gang that kept trying to capture Teito during the race. Honestly? This is probably my biggest complaint. Don't get me wrong, the ending wraps up nicely and I'm satisfied with what it offered, but I just wanted a glimpse of these people who were just as important as our trio ghosts in the epilogue. There is a one shot in the back that looks like an early draft of this. I adore seeing older concepts of stories. It was nice to see how some things were kept the same while other things had changed. And finally a big thank you to viz media for picking this series up. There's a good chance I wouldn't have been able to finish reading it without them!*The authors have another series known as Battle Rabbits and I would highly recommend checking it out if you enjoyed 07-Ghost. You might be in for a surprise.

Thanks for the journey!
I fell in love with 07 Ghost about a year ago after watching the anime.I then discovered the manga, and have been reading each volume as it came out ever since! The story is amazing, the characters are amazing: I really got sucked into the world of 07 Ghost and was rooting for Teito and company every step of the way.If you're reading a review on the final volume of a series you've probably already read some, but, if not, START!It's a grand adventure, and I'll be re-reading the series many times in the future.About the final volume itself, there was one bad point I should mention:There was this odd mini-alternate-story at the end that I did not understand...It does not add anything additional to the story, no new information.. I read a couple pages and was like, what?! what is this?! And skimmed the rest.. (SKIMMING 07 GHOST?! SURELY YOU JEST!)It starts out when Frau, Castor, and Lab are on hawkziles and Teito smacks into Frau, except they change things up..Not only was it odd and pointless, BUT, it took up 20-23-ish pages of the FINAL VOLUME! WHAAAAAT?!I would have preferred more detail on what everyone was up to after "The End" than this alternate story thingy!!

There were several themes that I felt had been dropped or could have been resolved better. Still a good story
Very entertaining story - 07 Ghost is one of my oldest favorites! Though the ending felt rather rushed, as if the author had grown tired of the series and simply wanted to get it over with. There were several themes that I felt had been dropped or could have been resolved better. Still a good story, all in all.
