The Para-Rod is a robust, 5/16"x 3", ferrocerium rod with a premium striker connected together with over 4-5 feet of 550 para-cord. The cobra weave provides excellent grip and control of the rod while striking. This para-cord weave eliminates the "handle" concept on most ferro-rods. The handles on such rods are notoriously unreliable to stay attached during the striking process. With Para-Rod you will not have to worry about the handle coming off while under extreme, prolonged use. This concept provides a tremendous amount of leverage for the premium striker to rake the steel and throw a massive shower of sparks.
