So I make my own dashi but it can be a little messy and time consuming making sure you have everything, that you clean the sardines. This is a rich dashi easy to make and no straining of particulates. For a quick dashi this is a great product.

Extremely thin on flavor. I soaked the flavoring bag in one cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. /thin and unappealing, not my cup of broth.
