"That's not a knife... THIS is a knife.".
In the words of Crocodile Dundee - "That's not a knife... THIS is a knife.". Right out of the package my first thought was this knife is alot bigger than I expected (which is a good thing for me) and it has to be the sharpest knife I have ever bought. I can shred the packing material like cutting through butter with this knife. I really love to camouflage pattern - it is so unique. The build is sturdy, the heft of the blade feels just right.

Best knife you can buy for the money
Right out of the packaging this looks and feels of quality. The material the grip is made out of feels great, it's balanced, sharp and locks well. This feels like a knife that should cost a lot more than it does. The size is just right for it as well, small enough folded that you can wear it on your belt without noticing, but opened it's big enough for just about any job needed.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Pleasantly surprised....perfect camp knife.
Great knife! It's bigger than it looks....perfect for my needs. Locking mechanism is well engineered, and the blade is hefty and super sharp. Is this knife made in Germany??!!....it sure feels like top-quality stuff I've gotten from Germany. Well balanced design makes it easy to use, easy to open and close. It came with a nylon case that fits on my belt.....easy access at the campsite. Camo design is beautifully done. This shipped quickly and came a day early. Love it!

Definitely sharp, but it takes some effort to open and the handle feels cheap to me
I carry a folding knife with me every day while out walking with the pooch, and I have done so for well over a decade. As a result, I accepted an offer of a free sample in exchange for me taking the time to evaluate this and share my opinions with you in the hopes that it can help you in your shopping. In short - mine arrived very sharp, the blade lock works perfectly (but others have noted that there lock does not work well), but the grip is a bit smooth and bulky, and mine takes quite a bit of effort to swing out the blade.Since about 2002, I've carried a Benchmade knife every day. That thing opens and closes smooth as silk. Granted, those cost more than this knife. I also bought a Smith and Wesson folding knife years ago for about $20 that is excellent. Those are my two points of comparison. When I first got this knife, I thought it felt pretty cheap and operated poorly. It definitely takes more effort to open and close it than I'm used to, but I may be able to adjust that by loosening the bolts. The handle, though...I just don't really like it. It's bulkier than I'm used to, and it feels like plastic. That said, it works quite well in use. I've had mine for over a month now because I wanted to give it some use before reviewing it. Mine definitely is sharp - no question. I wish that it had a serrated portion near the hilt, but it still cuts well.Is the blade oxidized or painted? I honestly don't know. At least one review claimed it was just painted black. I will say that after a month of use on mine, it still looks pretty much the same. There are some small scratches in the black that show through to the metal underneath, but it might just be a thin oxide layer. So, it certainly arrived sharp and has stayed that way for at least a month of usage, and the black coating has held up. I don't like the handle, though, and it's way more difficult to open and close than I think it should be. Because of those last two points, I consider it to just be "okay."

Not safe! I cannot trust the blade lock
I can't give even an average star rating to something that I think is unsafe. The blade lock on the knife I received does not always catch, or "click" into place. It happens about 50% of the time.So while the knife looks pretty good for the price, you have to remember that saying: You get what you pay for.I want to mention that we are experienced knife aficionados.Sometimes--when the blade lock does engage--it is difficult to move it out of that locked position and close the blade. Also, the belt sheath is flimsy and does not fit snugly on the belt. That makes it difficult to easily slide the knife out of the sheath. After just a week or two of use, the stitching is starting to unravel.*I received a free sample product from Blue Ring Gear for evaluation/review.

Great Deal for the Price
For about ten bucks, you get a pretty good knife here. I'm not saying it's as nice as a $50 knife or anything like that, but I'd be happy to have this with me on a hunting trip. The truth is, I think, that any knife will do the job if sharpened up.░░░░PROS░░░░~ sharp blade that's not serrated, so it's easy to sharpen~ cammo!~ has a good look and feel~ lock is solid, so it's a pretty safe knife if you're planning to give it to a kid to learn knife skills with░░░░CONS░░░░~ has a bit of a catch when opening up the blade~ lock is a bit tight on the blade and hard to disengage~ overall "feel" of this knife is in line with a $10 knife ... not bad, but not greatSo in the end I'm happy to have this knife just because I'm a "knife guy" and think you can never have too many knives. I'll definitely throw it in the truck or bring it with me as a backup on my next hunting or fishing trip.I was provided a free sample in exchange for my honest review.
