It’s opaque if you mix it well, and get the right size brush for the split cakes. It does dry a bit quick, so doing double dipped flower petals was challenging. The white in the brush was drying before i could wipe and get any pink in there—but I am new to facepainting. I practiced all up my arm and hand, and washed and did it again several times. They wash off well/easy from what I could tell, but they werent on me more than hour. My toddler let me put a rainbow on his cheek but couldnt sit still for me to do sparkles and finish the cloud. Sorry it’s blurry. They did not irritate his skin either.

This product is great. I'm a beginner and it made me feel like I was doing a good job. Its so easy to use and the paint is smooth like butter. Would recommend and buy again!

Amazing vivid colors

Great face paint, goes on smooth and blends well. It also washes off easily with some soap and water.

Should have read reviews first. I bought these to add to my face painting kit. I paint faces for charity events. I am disappointed. These colors are beautiful and vibrant and they go on very well and make for a nice set. However the purple color in each split cake seems to stain even after washing with soap and rinsing with water. I so badly want to keep this set I’m debating getting a plain purple and cutting out Thier purples and replacing them. Do to the price that is probably what I’ll do. I have an old snazaroo I may see how it fits with it. If you have never don’t diy split cakes it’s not hard.I did find it didn’t stain my daughter’s arms like it did mine and when I applied to my face it seems to do better as well. I also found with some primer before application it helps when removing it as well.

Not what I needed but absolutely loved them

The media could not be loaded. Just received my professional face painting kit today. I am practicing with it at home before I use it next weekend for a early Halloween event where I will be using it on others as well. So far, I really like it! The colors can be vivid or tamed down depending on how much or little water you use. It dries nicely and it stays put once applied. It is easily removed with soap and water. I submitted some photos of my kids and I playing around with the product. We had a lot of fun and it got pretty silly this evening lol. Tomorrow I will be practicing on making some real art and not just goofing off (the goofing off with my kiddos was priceless tho! Soooo much fun). Today was mostly about seeing how well the product was when being applied to the skin, testing on how our skin felt with it on (did not feel cakey or flaky), making sure we had no adverse reaction (we did not have a bad reaction), and seeing the differences in color regarding how much or little water was used. So far, I’m loving this product.

I used these to do face-paint at a kids Halloween program. I had never used split cakes before and now I'm so sad I have missed out on this beauty. The colors are vibrant and blend beautifully. The kids loved the color combinations. It took a bit of practice to get used to, but it was absolutely worth it.
