Good Quality Relay
I bought this relay to interface an occupancy sensor switch to high amp draw bay lights in my shop (about 12 amps total), so the place lights up automatically no matter which entrance I use. It's doing the job well for several months now, and I expect that it will last for years based on rated load versus my actual amp load. The spade terminal connections and mounting ears make for easy installation, and easy replacement if that ever becomes necessary. Fits nicely with room to spare in a single gang metal switch box with a blank cover. No complaints.Update 10/6/23: This relay has been in daily use for a year and a half now, and has worked perfectly through thousands of on/off cycles.

Works perfectly, small, reliable.
Very small size, silent operation, no excessive heat. I used this relay to power a set of under cabinet LED’s when I pushed the range hood light button. Power goes in and out through the coil circuit, and the switched circuit is closed or open, depending on your needs. This is how my wiring looks:Coil Circuit: top left terminals: one is switched hot (from range hood) and the other goes to neutral.Switched Circuit: The LED power supply hot inbound is cut and connected to COM terminal and NO. The transformer neutral is always connected.when the light button on the range hood is pressed, both the hood lights and the LED power supply are energized. Used multiple times per day for hours on end for a couple months with no issues.

The Fit is Good
After 10 years, I replaced the OEM relay of my Panasonic canister vacuum cleaner with this Zettler one. The fit was good, all electrical blade connectors ok, the securing screw also ok. And the vacuum operates ok. The Panasonic is a 12A appliance, and it has two motors, one for the vacuum pump, plus another for the brushes. I don’t plan on using the motorized brush accessory since I no longer have carpets, so I will be well within the 30A capability of this relay. So I hope this Zettler relay will last at least 10 years. I will update this post if anything changes.

Just what I needed
I gave this just 4 stars because it came with no instructions, and the pins were labelled COM, NO, and NC, yet the datasheet I found via a link in the questions referred to pins 1 through 5. I am sure an electrician would have figured it out right away, but it could have been easier for a lowly consumer like me. That said, it works great. The secret is to put power/hot to the COM terminal and then wire it to the device you want to drivel, and then connect the device's other wire to NO (normally open/no power) or NC (normally closed/power), depending on what you want the unpowered switch state to be. The other two pins (1 and 5) power -only- the switch that closes NO and applies power or opens NC and disconnects power when the switch gets power. I used it to reverse a daylight sensor to be ON in daylight and OFF in darkness by connecting it to pin 1. Hth.

Great relay
I used this relay to activate my fireplace which had a simple wall switch and was either a micro volt or grounding line. I used the the fireplace fan blower to activate the relay since I almost always had both running together anyways. The fan blower switch was replaced with a z wave wall switch. Works great for wireless turn on of my fireplace use my Harmony Elite and SmartThings hubs. The only thing I didn't anticipate was the coil contacts being smaller than the load contacts... Could not fit my standard insulated quick connectors.

Exactly what I needed to make my fireplace smart!!
I love smart home technology but wasn't really loving the solutions that I had seen being sold for smartening up a fireplace... They seemed a bit 'hack job'.Using this relay I was able to bridge the AC/DC issue going from the DV fireplace to the AC switch!!The instructions for wiring were sadly lacking but a little searching around the google universe solved that problem!!Now the smart switch can control the fireplace!! Along with Alexa and Homekit!!So thrilled!!

Used for vaccum cleaner
I bought this hoping it would suffice for my panasonic canister style vac that has been slowly deteoriating. The original replacement for this was hard to get and would be a bit more expensive. This seemed like a great alternative especially considering its amperage rating! I figured it would be perfect for my vac, alas it failed within about 2 weeks of use and instead I have opted to just use a DPST switch to accomplish the same thing. Basically the contacts started to fuse and weld themselves together and melt the outer plastic of the relay. I doubt my vac is pulling more than 30 amps (on my 20 amp breaker...) so I was extremely happy to find such a simple replacement with a pefect fit, however its function over time did not quite live up to my expectations.

Perfect for my application
I was looking for a relay that I could connect to the output from a passive infrared detector so I could cause motion detection to open and close contacts on a z-wave wireless sensor. This relay worked out great for this purpose. This relay provides both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts (I needed NC, but I felt more comfortable getting a relay with both). The relay makes a pretty audible click when it opens or closes, which for me was actually a benefit. I could easily tell when the motion sensor detected movement as I tested and adjusted the sensitivity. The relatively small size was also a factor for me as I need to place both the relay and z-wave sensor into a weatherproof enclosure. One tip on something I didn't notice until after I started hooking up the relay, the AC input terminals are smaller (3/16") than the Common and NO/NC terminals (1/4"), fortunately for me even the little Podunk hardware store near me had both sizes on hand.
