Love puppy culture! Great program. Learned so much.

This book, and the videos are targeted to dog breeders to use when raising pup litters and to assist in preparing the puppies for their new homes. It is also good for new puppy owners to use to CONTINUE the exercises and activities to assist your new puppy to grow into being a confident and happy dog.

Being a breeder, I want to bring the best to my puppies from birth. This set certainly gives lots of good, solid information about why we do things and some great refining tips on early dog training. However, the claim of 50 practical lessons is simply not true. The workbook is actually hard to follow, since many of the exercises recommended come from DVDs that you have to buy separately. Why not include a short description of a scent game in the bundle, when referring to its appropriateness at 6 weeks?? Nooo, you have to buy the video for another $27... The workbook says to do an exercise on distractions at this age, which can be found on another DVD for more money... Just annoying! I found myself pawing over the workbook trying to make sense of it all. This is extremely frustrating when you've already paid over $200 for this bundle. And DVD 4 on recaps was just awful - I couldn't sit through it. And, there's no checklists or key points to give to your puppy buyers, as stated in the product description.If you're a new to dog training, this set will be invaluable. If you've been doing this a while, you're probably already doing most of what's in here, albeit in a less refined way. I imagine the whole set for show people might be fantastic and worth the high investment but for me, it was disappointing for the price.Bottom line is I probably would have kept it if all the exercises mentioned in the workbook were included in this bundle so I felt there was more value. Penny pinching doesn't make anybody feel good.

Very informative. Touches on things that you might not think that matter in raising puppies. I would recommend this to every breeder.

I was super hyped up when I purchased this item-finally, i could buy Puppy Culture without paying double for shipping.The DVD is really aimed towards new breeders and pet owners more so than trainers looking for a new protocol or experiences breeders who focus on health and temperment testing already. I was expecting more quality content in the DVDs in terms of new exercises and science behind the theories. This is very much so tailored to new breeders.The workbook arrived with a binder clip damaged, but otherwise I am happy with it. The content and timing is much better laid out than in any of the previous DVDs or information. For trainers looking for more structure, I would recommend only purchasing the workbook. For new breeders, this full set is perfect.
