The best quality
I can't explain how please I am with these sheers. I ordered them only by reading the reviews and then I looked up the company website and saw that they are family owned and operated and made in the great state of TEXAS. I received them today beautifully wrapped in a box with satin lining. the sheds actually look and feel better than i expected. they have a very comfortable handle but not heavy, the rich leather case is impressive and I like the easy but yet traditional locking clip at the base. The sheers cut so smooth that I wish that this product was easily available at home depot or our local hardware stores.

better than an older pair I own
I bought these shears to trim some of the shrubs in my mother's yard. They work well, better than an older pair I own. I love the look and comfortable feel in my small hand. Best of all, they do an excellent job.

These shears were great for the first month...
I work on a massive hydro-organic basil farm, harvesting hundreds of pounds of basil twice per week. The main factors in my purchase of these shears were as follows;1. Quality/Solid reviews2. American Made.3. PriceOn top of that, Oak Ridge Garden is a Veteran owned/operated company, and as a Marine Corps Vet myself, they were my choice. The shears arrived when they were scheduled to, and looked very well constructed. My hands are rather large, so the oversized redwood handles give plenty of leverage when cutting. Unfortunately, after the first 45 days of use, the spring mechanism has ceased to function no matter how I adjust the tension nut. They still work, but I've had to remove the clasp at the bottom of the handle to prevent multiple unwanted closures. They're still sharp and still can be used for their intended purpose, just with more user input.

Looked amazing, Nicely Packaged . Not a Felco!
Malfunctioned after 20 minutes of use. Would not buy again.

FINALLY A WELL MADE SHEAR!!!!!!!!!
Where have you been? I have been looking for you for months! Exceptional stainless bladed tool. Nice thick full tang blade, definitely not like so many others made today with a thin metal, part metal and mostly plastic. Exceptional, strong hidden spring. Lovely wooden handles with full brass rivets. The only think I am concerned about is the clasp. It is questionable, a bit thin but none the less good. - Oh, almost forgot - excellent leather sheath with belt clip - I am in tool heaven.

Nice design but poorly durable and impractical
Although I am impressed with the design and durable handles, I wasn't impressed with the cutting it claimed to tackle. I could cut a raspberry stick but that's the extent. Anything tougher or bigger it will either not cut or the shears will get stuck. Also the clip at the bottom to close the shears kept closing on me when I was cutting- making it annoying to have to keep opening it back up to try to keep cutting.Maybe these would work for cutting herbs from the garden but they didn't work well cutting them up to put in my food as the shears are too large, and I couldnt quite see how I was cutting. Not to mention they are heavy.Nice design though

Worth the price!!
I have had these of over a month and every time I use them am glad I bought them. They do both fine cutting, i.e. dead heading and fairly large branches. The case is convenient with both a clip on (for short term) and a loop for longer usage.

Makes short work of pruning roses
Used these shears for the February pruning of my roses. The notch made cutting even the larger canes a breeze. One cut and I had a nice clean slice. The fine tips worked great on my miniature roses. So glad I bought them.
