Best quinoa ever !!!!

I purchased the three cheese & mushroom flavored quinoa from my local asian market and I have to say I'm IMPRESSED! I waited until I cooked my second flavor to make a review because I wanted to give this brand a fair shot since I've never seen it at any of the major grocery stores in my area (I purchased 5 flavors total and the first one I cooked was the Garlic/Herb blend).The instructions were easy to follow (I always cook stove top) and the unique flavor combos really come through which I appreciate because some other brands have 2 or 3 flavor combos but they all end up tasting the same to me. I was happy to see actual dried mushrooms in the mix and during cooking I even smelled a subtle cheese aroma--nothing too strong and I couldn't identify what type of cheese but overall it was a pleasant smell contrary to some other reviews of this brand. The 3 cheese mushroom blend had a nice umami flavor and I paired it with sautéed mushrooms & shrimp.

Picked this up at my local grocery, along with the Garlic and Herb flavor (aka burnt garlic). This one reaks of artificial smoke. The taste - it is beyond disgusting. Per the package, these recipes were created with the assistance of "an exceptional chef from one of San Francisco's top restaurants." Interesting that he/she didn't want the name published.
