I bought this lunch box over a year ago and I love it. I know it is expensive, but it has held up SO WELL. The other bento/bentgo boxes I’ve tried either broke the first time they were dropped or ended up getting black mold on the rubbery molding if it wasn’t washed soon enough. It is inevitable that my kid is occasionally going to leave the half eaten lunch in it over the weekend, and mold will set into the rubbery bits that stop leaks. Even bleaching didn’t work. It seemed to become an issue early on with other brands, but I only recently had an issue with the omiebox. Unlike the other brands I’ve tried, Omiebox lets you replace just that part very inexpensively, instead of needing to throw the whole thing out.I accidentally threw out the removable divider too (totally my fault), and I was able to cheaply order that replacement part as well. It’s expensive, but cheaper that having to replace a lunch box every year. My kid can break/wreck anything, but this box still looks brand new.

This lunch box is extremely durable and well-made. I was very hesitant to spend so much money on a lunchbox, of all things, but for every day use I think it will hold up and work very well! Plus the colors are so darn cute!

I've purchased this lunchbox twice. We used our first one for about a year before the hinge started to come loose. The second one lasted about a year and a half before the same thing occurred. I like it and am likely to repurchase it again - nothing else I've seen seems to fit our needs. That being said, for as expensive as it is, I wish it was a bit more durable.
