This device works well as both a Number Keypad and a hand held calculator. There was no set up to use this keypad with my laptop. Just plug in the small dongle and tap the Connect button. Switch between Calc and Num with a other button. If you use Calc, you can send the results to your computer. This functions exactly how I wished. Two drawback: 1. are that it does disconnect too quickly, so if you are not actively using it, you'll have to tap Connect again; 2. The angle of the digital readout is nearly flat to the rest of the unit so if you do use it as a Calc, you'll have to lean over it or hold it or prop it up in order to see the numbers on its screen.

Good product. I am buying one more top use at home for myself.

I don't like that it doesn't have a calculator key to open the calculator on the computer. I love that I can use it as a calculator then send the results to the computer. Very functional.
