Power Bowl 2 really works and here's why!
When I test-rode/bought my Honda CRF250x used, it was idling way too fast. Thought it would be an easy fix. Got home and found the idle screw alone couldn't fix it. Eventually found a solution on CRFs Only forum involving changing pilot jet to #45 and replacing stock fuel screw with R&D Racing's Flex Jet. Tweak, adjust and Bingo! Solution worked. But then, now that the Keihin FCR carb would idle correctly, the ugly "LEAN BOG" problem reared its head. I realized previous owner had somewhat solved these issues by increasing idle speed, but it sucked to have a bike idling at 3,000 rpm or higher! I tried various smaller and smaller leak jet sizes in the stock float bowl but got very limited results for lean bog issue. Bike was horrible, bogging out if I ever cracked the throttle too quickly/too much. Finally I sprang for the R&D Power Bowl 2 and got positive results....but I was testing on a cold day, trying to rev from complete idle on the street in front of my house (not a real ride.) Still a small lean bog. Wasn't until I took the bike out for a real ride that I discovered just how awesome the Power Bowl 2 really was! Wow....bike was snappy and quick like my old 2-stroke Honda CR 480 used to be. Definitely a great product. Definitely solves some nasty Keihin FCR issues that are worse on a 250cc motor than on a 450cc motor due to the lesser vacuum of the smaller motor. The Power Bowl 2 has a vastly improved Accelerator Pump cavity that provides a much more sophisticated means to reduce air bubbles (cavitation) trapped within the system and has an adjustable leak jet orifice so you can tweak accelerator pump squirt volume and duration. This thing is worth every penny! After pulling my carb out of the bike no less than 8 times so as to adjust, tweak, change jets etc, the Power Bowl 2 finally helped me get it right!

Installation was fairly easy and the results are nothing short of dramatic
Just an incredible product. Installation was fairly easy and the results are nothing short of dramatic. I'm fortunate enough to live near Dean who developed the Power Bowl and went by his place for some tuning. He couldn't have been a nicer guy and is a genius when it comes to tuning. He showed me his prototypes and went through the concepts behind the development process. Really fascinating stuff from a guy that truly thinks outside of the box and can solve/fix most any issue on two wheels. With some minor changes and fine tuning, my 2008 WR450 pulls like an angry rodeo bull. No more off-idle bog, no more deceleration popping, just a throttle response that rivals fuel injection. The bike has never run so well and I had no idea it could produce this much power. Even if your bike runs great already, the ease of tuning makes this worth every penny. Get the Flex Jet as well and you can tune trail side in minutes. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Worth the money. My RMZ rips. No more lean Bog.
2007 RMZ 450. I chased the correct jetting on this dirt bike extensively. After installing this RD bowl and accelerator pump my RMZ rips. Right from the start, it sounds meaner and has a noticeable power improvement. Just moved to So Cal from the East Coast, couldn’t find the right jetting for the dessert. With this part, no more lean bog and it’s faster than many fuel injected bikes I encounter. In the Glamis Dunes Oldsmobile hill my RMZ kills it, with this new part. Worth the money. Thanks R&D.

LEAN BOG GONE!
I purchased this item for my 2005 KTM 250 SXF that had a lean bog off low RPM even after cleaning and re-jetting that drove me crazy! I purchased this bowl, followed the instructions, rode it around, adjusted the leak jet, and now my bike RIPS! Finally, I can yank the throttle and my bike responds as it should. Worth every single penny! You will need to use your existing diaphragm and bowl drain bolt.

Works great but for me I had to make some alterations for 2001 yz426, not direct bolt on part on my bike
I am giving 5 stars because this worked great, I mean really great from stock. The only thing is that I had to make modification for my particular bike. I have a 2001 yz426 and my float was hitting the bottom of this bowl. They have a float rest inside the bowl, the stock one did also but this one was higher up. I have heard that my particular carb, 39mm FCR was a little different than later years. I used a dial caliper and measured and the height was off, so I had to machine it down a few mm. I used to work in a welding and machine shop so I have tools and know how, and patience. But for me it was not a direct bolt on part. When I got it dialed in after working on the bowl it made my bike run crisp. I kinda think they should have added gaskets and new diaphram for the money but oh well, works good.

Watch Out!!!
Worked all day installing and noticed once all fuel up that it was leaking from the side of the bowl. Crack in the bowl around the R&D logo. Whomever is responsible for the quality of the items before they get sold needs to check there eyes! Highly disappointed!!! Should have never been sold or shipped!!!

Game changer
Wow what a difference! Had a JD jet kit on my 2009 KTM 450 xcf, but still had lean bog issues, even with the oring mod. Finally bought this kit and the bike runs way better. No more bogging off low throttle. I am not into aftermarket mods, my bike is completely stock... But this mod is one I believe in.

UPDATE : SOLVES BOG ON SECOND BIKE
ON 2007 KX450F. BIKE WOULD HESITATE WHEN PUTTING ON GAS COMING OUT OF CORNERS AND WOULD SPLUTTER (AND SOMETIMES CUT OUT) ON HARD LANDINGS. PUT THE POWER BOWL 2 ON, AND BOTH ISSUES SOLVED INSTANTLY. I WAS A SKEPTIC, NOW I'M SOLD !!UPDATE :AFTER THE SUCCESS ON KX450F, MY OTHER BOY WANTED IT ON HIS 2008 YZ450F. HIS REPORTS ARE THE SAME....THE RESPONSE, ESPECIALLY OFF THE BOTTOM, IS NIGHT AND DAY BETTER WITH THE POWER BOWL.THE OTHER THING WE HAVE NOTICED OVER THE LONG TERM IS THAT THE BIKES SEEM TO START SO MUCH EASIER - HOT OR COLD.THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER INVESTMENTS WE'VE MADE ON OUR 2 BIKES.
