AYO Products Self Stirring Metal Mug and French Press

Really good item! I was looking for a 1 cup french press, and this is it. Works fine, I can enjoy a cup of fresh made coffee at work now, The cup is a plus, though I could survive without it and pay less, I don't drink coffee with milk... Anyway, I am happy with the purchase.Thank you.

I was expecting a three cup french press. This is Tiny! I measured the content and it is a cup and a half. It works great so the function is excellent and it would be a five star if the description had been accurate. I will keep it a it does strain a finely ground coffee very well.

This is NOT a 3 cup French press! It is barely a single cup! Don't be deceived by the inaccurate description. This is going back and I have to pay to do it.

Works great. Makes less than a 16 oz cup. I'd say 12 oz.

This is a really cool deal. I mean self stirring mu?!?!? C'mon. The only thing I worry about is how clean this mug will stay after a long time of use. I could imagine germs piling up in the gears because it is hard to clean. So application maybe only a 3 star. I got a discount for giving a review.

This French press is a great addition to my coffee routine. A French press does a wonderful job at making a very rich, flavorful cup of coffee (as long as you measure your grounds right.) This French press works great for me because I'm the only coffee drinker do I added two scoops of grounds, about 10-12 ounces of water and it made one perfectly flavored mug full. I didn't have to worry about adding too much or too little grounds or water and if I made too much or too little. That feature of it being smaller makes it great. The glass is thick and the plastic holder/handle/lid didn't get overly hot while my coffee was brewing. To use this, I placed two full scoops of coffee grounds in the bottom, I added the 10-12 ounces of water, I added my water that had boiled in an electric kettle. I gave it a little stir and placed the lid on and waited 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, I pressed the plunger down slowly and it filtered the water and grounds. Typically with a coffee press, I'm left with grounds in my coffee, especially if I buy pre-ground bags. This press filter is so fine that I was left with no grounds in my drink. I'm extremely pleased with that! The press is easy to wash out and the plunger can unscrew from the base so you're able to thoroughly clean the mesh screen when necessary!This came with a self stirring mug as well and that thing is just a lot of fun to mess with. The bottom of the mug unscrews and you place two AAA batteries in there and re-screw the cap. There's a button on the handle that you press when your coffee/cream are in the cup. It starts stirring and whizzing away easily and leaves you with a nice bit of froth on the top! Be careful to only press the button when the lid is on or there's isn't a full cup or it can splash over! By the way, this French press makes a perfect amount of coffee to fit in this mug. When you need to wash the mug, remember not to submerge it in water since it is battery operated. It used to be that when I wanted a single cup of coffee I had to either use a coffee pod, or instant coffee. While convenient, neither of them produced a really good cup of coffee. Now, with this small French press, I can make a delicious single cup of coffee just as easily, but with a lot more flavor. My biggest problem using this French press was determining the right amount of coffee beans to grind for the size of the press. I did a little research and determined that one tablespoon of beans would produce the right amount of grounds. And, it was just about perfect.There are two features to this French press that I really appreciate – the fine mesh filter and the glass enclosure. The fine mesh filter prevents the grounds from ending up in my coffee. As long as I take my time with the plunger, I have no problems. And, with the glass, I can watch my coffee brew, and then watch the color change as I depress the plunger. It’s a really nice effect. Of course, the most important thing is the taste of the coffee. This press doesn’t disappoint. My coffee is the perfect strength, not bitter, and wonderfully smooth. When I want a single really good cup of coffee, this is my go to device.The self-stirring coffee mug that came with the French press is a wonderful bonus. Because it’s plastic inside, I don’t like using it with hot liquids. But, it is perfect for mixing powders into cold liquids. I’ve been using it to mix probiotic powder into my son’s almond milk at night. Without a mixer, there are a lot of clumps and even more whining. With this self-stirring mug, my son likes doing the mixing and doesn’t mind drinking the milk. It’s definitely an appreciated bonus.
