Intellitoyz Montessori Wooden Cylinder Blocks is an excellent toy for children of all ages. It works on fine motor skills as well as teaching a child how to visually determine different sizes. I gave my two-year-old son the wooden blocks and he started playing with it as if it were a puzzle. He took all of the pieces out and immediately tried to put the pieces back in. I didn't even need to show him how to do it. It took a lot of concentration, but he worked on it for about twenty minutes (which is amazing because he doesn’t have a long attention span at all). All of the circular pieces are different sizes, both width and depth, so I suggest for younger children giving only one or two blocks at a time. To challenge older children, give them all four of the blocks at once. I love activities like this that challenge children, but not to the point of frustration. This toy does exactly that. I really like the fact that there are small and large round pieces that children have to hold to work on fine motor skills, which will hopefully teach them how to hold a pencil and crayon correctly. The blocks also come with stickers, which is a nice reward for after a piece is put together correctly!I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
