Q: Will this fit in a 10.5' room?

I think it would depend on the stand you use with it. We have ours set up with the Sunnydaze Multi-Use hammock stand, which measures 10.33 feet. I think it would be a tight fit to put it in a room that is 10.5 feet, but maybe you could put it diagonally if it seems like not enough space. My son uses it for his bed and loves it.

No. Your area space is fine, it will depend on where you can hook or not. You can also add a knot (or two, one in each side) to make it smaller if needed

I wouldn’t know about the curve wooden stand. I used the standard steel stand on mine.
