I have this on a battery that runs an inverter, which runs a sump pump. So there is a light load on the battery due to the inverter sitting idle. It has performed well for approximately one year now. I also have another one that is a 2/4/8 amp model for general charging of various other batteries, not on a constant basis though. I like them both very well. It may be a little more expensive but I like the lights on them, so you can tell what the status is at a glance.

Had one of these for two years. Made a mistake and caught the charging cord with my foot, ripping it off its mount on the wall and smashing it on the floor. Charger worked extremely well, desulfating the battery and keeping it in top condition, so I replaced the broken one with the same thing.Hoping not to make the same mistake again.

The charging process it goes through is very effective.
