Needed this for home studio to connect keyboards to a MacBook. Didn’t want to spend the money on overpriced Apple products. They work great, no problems with data transfer.

Alright so to begin I just recently bought an ipad pro 12.9 inch 2018 edition (the newest one) and I didn't want to buy some expensive dongle through Apple. So what did I do? I came across this listing for the price it is nice! you get two of them? yes please. I ended up ordering this product and the reviews were relatively good. If you don't online shop often just a tip but always read the reviews so you know what you're ending up with from people who have already purchased the product. Anyway, this product is everything I needed for an affordable price as you know ipads normally need a dongle to plug in pretty much anything USB related. I use my ipad as my main computing device for the most part. I use it for recording podcasts with my Yeti microphone and use garage band. I use these on both my new ipad and my macbook pro. They work like a charm and everything connects easily. I haven't had any issues yet and the material of this product is super nice it actually feels like your purchased something. The quality is a lot nicer than others that's for sure. I would highly suggest this product if you need a USB C to USB adapter for either a microphone, external hard drive, or USB sticks. Hope this helps those who are on the fence of purchasing!

I've had it for a while, as I ordered this about a year ago, and it still works great! I just use it as an adapter for my mouse, and I gifted the other to a relative who uses them for the same purposes, and last I checked, it's still working for her, as well.

For starters I have a laptop with a USB C Thunderbolt 3 port, and amongst all the things I plug in daily on my machine, the USB C port never got used, and I figured why not invest and get an adapter so I could finally use the fast speeds which Thunderbolt is known for.This cable caught me off by surprise, for the price, I didn't expect the quality to be exceptionally well. It's braided and feels strong and durable, only time will tell how long it'll last but so far I haven't had any complaints when it comes to durability or issues. This comes to why I am leaving 4 stars instead of 5 unfortunately. The product description and answers I saw gave me the impression it supports Thunderbolt 3 connections/ports. However, my Thunderbolt 3 doesn't recognize or see it as a certified T3 device. I haven't been able to figure it out, but aside from that, the data speeds have improved overall once I switched from USB 3.0 to USB C for my external hard drive.From my usage and experience thus far, don't expect T3 support from this, but aside from that it's probably the best alternative compared to other similar items because of the extended braided cable, which allows more room for other USBs from being connected on the same side if you're on a laptop. I love the fact I have 2 in case one fails on me so that's another plus. If I can make one suggestion perhaps move the branding onto the USB A side of the product. There's no need to put SS(USB symbol) on the USB side and the logo on the USB C side. It's probably just my OCD being too criticizing however, I usually flip it and hide the logo and SS text since its reversable. Thank you USB C.

Once I converted to using the new MacBook Pro, I immediately realized that my older Apple Super Drive had the wrong USB connection! My old MacBook had plenty of regular USB ports, but obviously all newer Macs are now using the USB-C ports, so none of my older stuff would connect to my new Mac! After a bit of research, I realized that if you purchase the wrong adapter, it would not sync like your old cables would! This adapter WORKED LIKE A CHARM! Just plugged it in and everything WORKS PERFECTLY. Thankfully, I ordered two of them, so I can just leave one permanently tethered to the device I use most frequently (Super Drive), then put the other one in a drawer (just in case).VERY HAPPY with this adapter & would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for anyone going through the same frustrations when upgrading their computer. Just wish that Apple would include one with that very expensive purchased.
