I bought these because I'm redoing Ceiling lights in my foyer and hallway, and I needed something large enough to cover The pre-existing hole in the ceiling where are the original light fixture was placed. Once these pieces of board are painted, or jazzed up somehow, not sure how I want to decorate them,then installed on the ceiling to cover the original hole, and then the new light fixture is attached to the wood, the new lights will look beautiful. These wooden cutouts are perfect for painting on. They came in fairly uniform in size and shape, and they are smooth and clean. I have not done much with them yet except to test them, but acrylic paint does fine on them. I am just playing around with using them for different shapes to do painting on, but they would be good for any crafts that require a shape like this.

I’ve been laser engraving a lot of wood items and looking for more blanks that are more interesting than a rectangular block of wood. These stop sign shaped plywood blanks give a nice option for engraving.What I like- well finished. I don't have to sand or do any surface prep before i start engraving- lots of flat area to engrave- fairly thin and light… easier to ship

Like my title says, this is really excellent quality plywood. On the three sheets I received, both faces were without defect of any kind, and the edges showed no voids. the sheets were all very flat, and had five plies. I measured the thickness with calipers, and it was 1/4 inch, dead on.

I have made some laser engraving designs on these and they came out great. You can use these for your walls or make door signs.
