This was exactly what was needed. My daughter's BMX bike had no kickstand, and she would lean it against anything. In under five minutes, I had this positioned and mounted.This came in a box, but there were no directions included. If you are buying this after-market kickstand, you should be mechanically inclined enough to figure this out.The kickstand is lightweight and all metal. It also comes with two Allen wrenches—1 for the three mounting screws and 1 for the adjustable length.I had to mount this to the back. This was the only location thick enough to screw this down tight. My Mongoose bike has a kickstand in the exact location.You can kick this down quickly and kick it back up. You can still use the pegs even when it's in the up position!

I was tired of my son always throwing his nice BMX bike on the ground so I ordered this kickstand for it. It was easy to install and works great with his bike. It's out of the way of the pedals, just make sure you put it back far enough on the bar. It was super simple to adjust to the height needed for his bike too.

Good kickstand, easy to install. My only problem with it is you have to turn the front tire all the way to the side for the bike to stand up. So, just keep that in mind if you don’t have a lot of room in your garage or shed or wherever you’re storing your bike.

No matter how hard I tighten this, it doesn't properly hold onto the bar on my son's 20" BMX. Looks great but the tiniest pressure and it splays out. I'll be replaced this.

I had to heavily modify this kickstand to make it work on my kid's 14" Hot Wheels bike. It is too long and the bike falls over the opposite direction from the kickstand. I had to cut down the slide portion and the part the slide goes into by 1/2" to have it to where the bike wouldn't fall over. Would have gone more but then it would have been unusable. It is still a little loose to the bike frame when completely tightened down and one of the bolts broke as I was tightening it. Might be good for slightly larger bikes but would avoid it if wanting it to work well for a 14" kids' bike.

I purchased the small size for a 20" kids bike - the bike had a side stand mounted near the bottom bracket by the crank, but it got in the way of the peddles, so I decided to get a pair of these (one for each grandkid). They fit will, and were easy to adjust, and appear to be made of good quality materials.

Will not work on a children's 16" bike. The bar on these bikes is smaller than what this kickstand fits.
