Sums Up As: Nothing...Flicker...Nothing...Nothing...Disappointment.
These lights were never meant to shine. They barely flickered before their untimely death. I grabbed thumbtacks and my step stool and braced myself for hanging. I plugged them in first. Nothing happened. I pressed the button. Nothing. I pressed again. And again. And several times more until it was obvious that it was futile. I shook the little box that contained the electronics and the button - the lights flickered! Encouraged, I shook again. Flicker. Again....nothing this time, several more shakes, about half as many flickers. Discouraged again. I open the little door to the box, not sure if it was ever intended to be opened, but nothing really to lose now because it is apparently overpriced and shiny garbage. Again discouraged, there's nothing really for me to jiggle or adjust that is accessible from the little door. I can see the hot glue gun work, which looks OK from what I can see, but I got nothin. Short of having a research project on electronics and trying to figure out how to fix it (or the dreaded return, I totally never return things, who's got time fo that?), I gave up. I'm going to see if my dad wants them, he sometimes likes to tinker with things, but I believe he will deem these too stupid to mess with and I will just throw them in the garbage, unfortunately.Oh, BTW, I am aware there is multiple settings and some of them are intended to flicker on and off. This is not what was happening. It was not a pattern of flickering, it was a flicker and die kind of thing. Something was messed up and not connecting right in the electronics.

Cute but small
I love them they are charming! But the lamp itself is much smaller than I thought it would be.
