This is a fabulous product! We are grandparents and I was looking for a product that 1.Most Important, safe 2. not a hassle for us to live with day to day. Since we don't have him here but a few times a year we don't need them active often, but when he's here safety is the number one priority. If that is what you want, this is your product! It was so easy to mount, I didn't have to put holes in the cabinets, they mount with 3M adhesive mounts. It comes with screws it you want them, but I have been using 3M products for years and they are wonderful. Now when you mount them they are not safe for your toddler for 24 or 48 hours because the glue hasn't set up, but for mounting purposes that's a good thing! I put the big part of the first one I mounted in the wrong place and I was able to get it off and move it to the right place. It was easy but luckily I realized it before I had pressed it on there. This glue is strong, though. They have an extra set of adhesive pads for each part in the package. There are for lock units in the package and one key. I have not found anything other than the key that opened the lock, but this is so easy to use! And when you don't want it engaged you just flip a bar. Lovely!

This is a great product and does exactly as advertised. And I was happily surprised to learn that it comes in a package with four locks and plenty of extra 3m sticky pads for mounting. Although it is not an anti-theft devise and would not likely keep a very determined child from getting into the drawer or cabinet, it will slow them down considerably and would certainly keep a toddler out. As for us, it worked like a charm to keep our pets from the "food" cabinet and the pantry door. Installation is exceptionally easy, and the supplied adhesive pads are surprisingly strong. I followed all of the directions and installation didn't take me more than ten minutes (including cleaning the surface and all the measurements). It had a cool mount for the magnetic key, too- which haven't used, but I'm sure others will find very useful. Also, if you ever loose the key, you can always use another magnet- as long as it strong enough to get through the material of the door/drawer upon which you mounted the lock. It was really fun secretly watching our pets trying to "paw" and nose nudge the doors open after we installed the lock.One thing I would say is when you install the lock, check to make sure you don't mount it over an embedded magnet in your cabinet door (if you are mounting it on a cabinet door like we did). Many cabinet manufactures placed magnets in the lower and upper corners of the doors so they stay shut when you close them. It didn't stop us from using it. We just moved the lock a little bit away from the corner and mounted it there where the door magnet didn't effect it.

It took me a bit to finally get the installment right, but after I figured it out it went great. The product is exactly as described, and works great. I highly recommend, as it will do what you want it to do without ruining your cabinets. I actually was surprised at how much better it was than I thought. But, I guess that is why it cost a bit more than I thought it should. It's very nice to be able to have a locked cabinet be locked without it looking old-fashioned or having a bunch of holes. This is a good modern solution.Again, I highly recommend.

I was skeptical based on my prior experiences with traditional safety locks but these were really easy to install. Plus the magnet provides very good resistance. I forget they are there and go to pull it open only to meet the magnet so to speak. They are really good. However, my pig is not deterred from trying to get into the trash so it's not a foolproof thing for pigs who know you have food behind the door. They have very strong noses. It may be better if you put it there from day one so they don't know what it's all about. To be fair, I do not know what would be pig proof except for a lock and key.

I helped my daughter install these in her house and I thought they were so amazing I ordered some myself. I have small grandchildren and wanted to keep a couple cabinets locked only when they come over. These are perfect, because you can either have them with the locks on or off, and when they are locked, the way they unlock with the magnet is fabulous! Installing the first one took a little longer because we weren't sure exactly how it worked, but after the first one, the next one was a breeze.

I installed these locks to keep my 3 cats from opening kitchen cabinet doors. The installation was fairly easy, might need to remove and relocate if not right the first time. I am waiting for the recommended time to totally use. I have them on bypass until then. I have now removed the bypass and have using for a few weeks. No problem, so I ordered another 4 pack and installed this morning.

They worked great until they broke. My toddler is a crazy little man and was unable to pull open the locked cabinets as long as they were screwed into the wood. This is unfortunate, though, because part of the reason I chose these locks was because of the claim that only the 3M tape would be needed. Moreover, and worst of all, after only a couple of months of use, the locks simply broke. They jam up and no longer function.

I really like the lock. It was kind of easy to install but I did have trouble lining the two pieces up just right so that they latched together when the door was closed. I had to unstick and reposition the door piece multiple times and if I give the cabinet a semi hard tug, I can still get it open. I bought the product to keep my cats out so it is OK for that purpose but I think a child might still be able to pull it open.
