I am always amazed when I see people eating and drinking while working on laptops when the laptops aren't protected. I've known far too many who don't want to spend money on cases or keyboard covers--and I'm thinking, "So you'd rather spend a ton on a new laptop when your sandwich crumbs funk up your laptop or you inadvertently spill that beverage on your keyboard?" I've even witnessed some of those accidents happen.I don't like to gamble that way. For years, and across different Mac laptops, I've used keyboard covers. I prefer the clear so I can see the keys (especially with their back-lighting in dimmer rooms) versus those covers that have color and letters printed on them. I'll admit--you need to adjust to keyboard covers. Keys don't feel as springy with them on and they sound different as you're typing (less of a "click"). This keyboard cover is thin, so it doesn't feel like you have to push through it or pound on your keys. It fits very well on the keys and is durable enough to have survived one of my children having it askew and jumbled before closing my laptop lid (I thought it would be ruined with creases, but it straightened out just fine). It has a slight opacity to it--nothing terrible to make your keys blurry or appear murky. But just enough that keys no longer look glossy black but more . . . hmmm . . . dark gray when the cover is on. To me, those are not big issues at all, especially not when I am protecting an expensive piece of equipment.

UPDATE: I was loving the clear cover so much that I wanted the black one. However, the black one is terrible. It doesn't stay on the keyboard and feels different. I also wasn't about to put any adhesive onto the keys because I'm wanting to protect them in the first place. I went back to just using the clear one. It stays on the keyboard and feels better.PREVIOUS REVIEW: I was looking for a way to help prevent cat fur from going into my Macbook. I purchased this one based on the reviews and seems to be decent quality. I didn't put any adhesive to it cause I didn't want anything on the keys. However, it's staying on pretty well. It's hard to say about the durability at this point since I've only had it about a day now. I will say that I probably would've chosen the black one to go with the look of the keys. I ordered the clear one and it looks a little tacky. Looks like it's a cloudy film on the keys. But other than that, it feels great to type on.

Stick perfectly to the keyboard.Translucent not transparent, but let’s the light come through with no issue.It softened the sounds of the keyboard a lot - which is a great attribute since the MacBook keyboard makes A LOT of noise (the keyboard on its own is so loud I get dirty looks if I’m in a quiet place)4 starts only as I feel like I have to press harder to type and end up removing it most of the time if I’m on my own - but it could be that it’s giving less feedback through the keyboard and I *feel* I have to type harder.Cleaning is ok - a bit of mild soap to remove grease.It seems to be protecting my screen fairly well from the keyboard scratching against the screen. It does transfer a bit of fingerprints.

I just bought a new MacBook and I needed to get all the bells and whistles to protect it and cover it and make it cute. This product is great! I wish it had a way to stick a little better to the keyboard because it falls off here and there or slips out of place. The package DID have a couple small interesting shaped stickers but it had no instructions as to how or where to put them on so I threw them out. Beyond that, I love the clear matte look and It does exactly what it’s supposed to! I’d certainly recommend this product to a friend, but I would let them know that it does slip off here and there. I can only give 4 or 5 stars but I would give it a 4.5 if I could!

This is a good keyboard cover. I use this on a daily basis. It does get cloudy over time, but the company's suggests I clean it a bit differently, with a toothbrush, so I will try this. This company defenitely cares about their product and ratings, as they are bending over backwards to keep me happy with this cover!! They are sending me out a new one. I've changed my rating based on the great customer service and will clean both keyboard covers accordingly an a bit differently.Also the lights on the keys DO show through this cover and the fit is excellent! Never slides around and I've used this for a couple of months! I'd buy again from this seller!

I do like the idea of having a keyboard protector on the new MacBook Pro, due to the keyboard issues. If you are looking for a cheap keyboard protector, I think this would due to trick. My main gripes with this protector are my keyboard gets a little hot while using. It says it has ventilation but I do not think it has enough. I also but the clear version hoping to not see a huge color change. However, the color change is definitely noticeable, especially from the sides (which I know you most people don't care what their laptop look like from the side, but it was very noticeable for me). Due to these reasons, I no longer use this product. However, if you are looking for a cheap keyboard skin, this is not a bad option. I would, however, recommend getting the black version if you have the Space Gray version of the MacBook Pro and not the clear.

This is a fantastic piece of kit, absolutely necessary for those of us who can't stop typing and also can't stop producing sebaceous oils in the tips of our fingertips, which then rub off onto the hardy key chiclets of the MacBook keyboard, thereby ruining the smooth lines so lovingly designed by the ergonomicists at Apple and making the keys look like someone used them, and that will never do as, if there is one thing I will not have, it's the impression that something I use for hours at a time is actually being used as it should all look effortless and as if the piece of written wonderment currently cajoling cantankerous consumers at that very minute fell fully formed from the Muses themselves rather than being the hard work and skull sweat and oily fingertips of a certain underpaid, though vastly overtalented, Word Monkey.

I've only been using this for about a week, but I like the product quite a bit so far. Most importantly, it's less flimsy and "floppy" than comparable keyboard covers I've already tried--I haven't had any problems with this cover wrinkling and having to be fiddled with several times a day. It took a bit of getting used to at first, but now feels quite good and doesn't change the typing experience all that much.

Perfect! So thin its even hard to believe there's something on the keyboard. Reduced the typing sounds and protects the keyboard from dusting. Love it and totally recommend it. Make sure you get right one for your macbook series. I did and it fits precisely. And the logo on skin is also translucent, so no one can tell your keyboard has a cover. Unbelievable.

Very good product, much better than most of similar made by silicone. Not sticky, perfectly fit the key board, doesn't impact any typing feeling at all.Highly suggest to buy

Very transparent, fits well, decent price. For now it's a winner. I'll see how it ages :-)
