Love that Becca is writing MM romance!
I read this ebook when it was in the anthology waaaay back in the day haha (I also helped name the book so its near and dear to my heart ❤️). I loved it then, my guilty pleasure is totally M/M romance (all kinds!) and this first M/M romance by Becca Steele was amazing and I wish there was more!Kian and Preston are a fun couple to see the walls come crumbling down between them. Becca has been giving us some great enemies to lovers and bully romances and this one kinda toes the line of both. We get to see Preston and Kian at odds with one another, see their instant attraction, and get to see them realize and act on their feelings. I felt for Kian so much in this one because of his family situation and Preston having to deal with Kian's antics was tough to read and listen to but Preston isn't a pushover and wouldn't take it for very long. I also loved how we got some cameos from other books and that this is all the shared world of Alstone.I was a tad worried about Gregory Salinas having to go back and forth with the various accents but he did a great job. I really loved his narration of Preston, he totally captured him how I imagined him in my mind. I thought the hurt and nervousness he exuded in some scenes as Kian were superb too. Great job yet again, can't wait to listen to more from him 😊🎧 Audiobook Obsession Reviewer - Flock Team 🎧

4-4.5 Stars
Summary: After star striker Kian gets suspended from his school’s football (soccer) team, new student Preston takes his place. Kian resents Preston’s presences and fears that Preston will permanently replace him, and unfairly treats Preston with hostility as a result. Preston at first tries to be nice, but he’s no pushover and gives as good as he gets. He is also aware of how attractive he finds Kian, at before long he realizes that part of Kian’s problem with him is Kian’s own unwanted attraction to Preston. This is a steamy, mm, sports, romance. It’s a novella, so it is relatively short.Review: I sort of wish this had been a full length novel—I really loved Kiana and Preston and their journey together. At first Kian’s reaction to Preston feels so over the top, but when we get to know him and his situation, his anger and the ways he acts out are understandable, if not exactly excusable. I can see why this book might be classified as an enemies to lovers or bully romance, but it’s also not. Preston hasn’t been around long enough for them to be enemies, and it’s so clearly one-sided. Preston tries not to be antagonistic to Kian, mostly he just refuses to take Kian’s attempts at bullying him. But when he sees that Kian is hurt by his words he apologizes because, like I said, they aren’t really enemies. Kian is just lashing out because of other issues. And then when they do get together, they’re so supportive of each other. It’s really very sweet. The only issue I really had with this book is that I wish we were in Kian’s POV when he switches gears from fighting his attraction to Preston and focusing on hating him to giving in to his attraction. The change felt so quick that not having the internal thoughts to see how it happened made it seem too sudden. Especially since what comes before that and what comes after is so good and so well motivated.Overall, I really loved Kian and Preston. I found this book because they are side characters in Steele’s Blindsided and I wanted to know more about them. I’m so glad I did!

I liked it a lot
It is a quick read, yet beautifully told. Plus, as a Caribbean woman, it was great to see football on the pages in what I think is in the true sense of the word.😉🤣But, apart from that, I loved the chemistry between the two heroes and how real they are with each other. No subterfuge whatsoever.Well done, Ms Steele

Kian and Preston
Awww I really enjoyed Kian and Preston's romance. I loved the build up with Kian, how unsure he was and Preston to be so confident. This is real feel good for me. It's nice to read a M/M couple with different pace. Great job Becca!!

Loved getting to see how these two guys wound up together! They're adorable!
1st person/dual povSpice: 4/5This is one of those books that I am kind of sad was just a novella lol. I almost read this before Trick Me Twice and I’m glad I paid more attention and didn’t do that. It would have spoiled some parts of that book so make sure you read this one second. Now - Kian and Preston - the delinquent and golden boy. I love these two together so dang much! I feel so bad for Kian and how abandoned he must feel because of his home life. The way he acts in Trick Me Twice makes so much sense now that I’ve had this look into more of who he is. Preston didn’t stand out to me as much in Trick Me Twice but I do remember the tension between these two in the beginning. Getting to know Preston was nice but my favorite thing was seeing how supportive he is of Kian coming to terms with who he is. Then him being there to lean on and comfort when Kian’s world seems like it’s spiraling, yea that connection between them is everything. They are so cute together and I love how even though Kian wanted to take his time with coming out publicly he came around pretty quickly to admitting his feelings with Preston. It was such a great side story and I loved getting to go back and see some of Carter and Raine’s story from another character.

I CANNOT GET ENOUGH!
OMG! After reading Trick Me Twice, I quickly snagged this baby. And I am SO ANGRY at myself that I waited this long to sink my teeth into it!AHHH! This book was EVERYTHING!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 starsKian and Preston were hot, electrifying, and freaking dreamy. I ADORED their book. My only complaint was that it wasn't longer!Their chemistry burnt up the freaking pages, and I will definitely be going back to read it again. I can't get enough of them!

Sweet and smutty
I‘ve already met Preston and Kian in Trick me twice, and after following Carter and Raine through their book, I was pretty excited how Cross the line would turn out. Especially since the story unfolds parallel (regarding the time line) to Trick me twice, also starting around Halloween.I was a little bit disappointed not to see more of their rivalry. I mean, yeah it‘s only 108 pages long, but I wouldn‘t call it enemies to lovers though. However, I enjoyed how they act around each other and how they support another. Kian and Preston are broth like– and relateable, and I enjoyed following them around. The pacing was too fast in my opinion. I understand why it was like that – but I feel like this story could have been so much more, and it didn‘t tap the full potential🤷♀️3/5⭐️

Awwwww!!!
These two! They love each other. Their relationship is super nice and they wear their hearts on their sleeves. They are supportive, the communication is open and their dynamic is sweet and healthy.I loved how cool the soccer team was and how Carter is a great friend.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Loved It
Kian and Preston's story is one of my favourites! I love the angst, and the emotions that you feel for the characters through out their story.I read this first in the Love at First Fright anthology, and I have to say this extended story gave so much more!

Fantastic MM Romance. Loved it. 💜
This book is a M/M romance read and is a enemies t overs romance read that is a fantastic book. This book is part of the Trick Me Twice world and the characters in that book are here too. This book is a bully romance and is gripping as all this authors books are.Preston is the new guy at the school, he's gay and is a guy that takes over from Kian on the team after he gets suspended and this is where the journey starts. Preston really has eyes for Kian and he is in his mind constantly.Kian is a guy that thought he was sure of his feelings about himself well that is until Preston comes into the picture and shakes things up. Kian hates Preston and every time they are near each other Kian flips. But they have a strong amount of chemistry and this is the last thing that Kian wanted. The way that this author writes is so great that you wont be able to take your eyes of the pages. I love her style of writing and I was gripped with all of these characters. I loved reading about these two and Preston was such a nice and descent guy that you will love him. There is a lot of back and forth between them both and they also had some really lovely moments. This book was a great read and the heat that comes of the pages is sizzling. I really enjoyed it and so will you and I highly recommend it.

Not exactly what I expected- in a good way
GAAAHHHH.Becca Steele absolutely kicks a goal with this one. (Soccer AKA football pun... yeah, I know, I'm not funny.)Kian and Preston's story just blew me away. There was a little bit of struggle, angst, and family drama. Kian's discovery of being Bisexual, and willingness to fight for Preston, despite his Dad's obvious disgust. At times it pushed the dark/bully themes, but without overwhelming the heat and the romance these characters had.Would I recommend? Absolutely. If you enjoy N/A, M/M, high school or sport romances... prepare to forget the world exists until you finish.Cross the Line is THE book to read for 2020.Hey, psst... Becca. Can I keep them?
