It's not nonstick, but I figured out a method that works for me
I try to avoid uni-taskers in my kitchen, which this is. But after making hamburger patties by hand I really wished I had a press. This one is cool because the handle comes off so it stores practically flat. It took me a while to get the hang of it since it is not non-stick. The parchment paper circles that come with it work fine, but they are a bit smaller than the actual patty and so I stupidly stacked them and froze them and then they all stuck together anyway, around the edges. Then I tried the square wax paper (purchased separately). The squares are much bigger than the press so it's a bit weird as you smush the patties in. Then I found that the part with the handle still stuck to the meat. I tried spraying it with olive oil first, but it still stuck. So finally I made a sort of sandwich. Bottom layer is the metal part. Then a square wax paper. Then a scoop of meat. Then one of the circle parchments that came with the press. Finally press down with the handle part. THEN I peeled off the circle parchment and reused it for the next press. So my final stack included only patties and square wax papers, and I only used up one circle that I then tossed out.

Burger night staple at my house
This is a well-made product it is made out of quality materials and is easy to put togeather. It did exactly what it was meant to. I created compacted lovely level patties when we made burgers. It was easy to use you don't have to use too much pressure to press the meat into the form of the pattie. Works well with turkey, beef etc. The burgers I made out of it cooked evenly. very very happy with this purchase.

Works Great
We used 3 of these to press out 185 Hamburgers to cook and sell at a local car show and they worked great. The press makes a 4 oz. patty consistently and they hold together well for frying. If you use wax paper between plates and meat, the patty comes out more easily. Also, rinsing the plates occasionally with hot water makes the process work better.

Making your own burger pattys is easier with this!
My husband and i purchased a 1/2 beef to stock our freezer, which has been great but this also means making our own burger pattys which i wasnt thrilled about. This burger press makes it as easy as possible! I find that a 1/3 lb of meat is about perfect for this press, and i also mix a bit of grated onion and couple splashes of Worcestershire sauce in with the meat and they hold together nicely. Highly recommend and honesty it makes for a better burger than the pre made ones!

Great for temperamental gas grills
I couldn't make burgers thin enough to get cooked all the way through without being red in the middle. This solved it! I have great burgers on my gas grill now!

Good
Works well, just used it for 10lbs of burger meat. My one complaint is the meat does stick to it a little bit. I have a plastic one, but not as durable thus me searching elsewhere, that works a bit better as far as meat not getting stuck to it. But easily resolved with some plastic wrap on both sides.

Doesnt last
Metal coating coming off after few months of use, can not be cleaned leaving silver black color on food.

Perfect Patties
This works very nicely and you can make the burgers thin or thick depending on what you want. We make patties ahead of time and freeze them. It's just like you bought them at the store.
