This is a great idea, but the ink doesn't last long. When it starts to dry up, it's worthless.

Small and easy to hold, does exactly what’s needed.

Struggled to hard open the ink roller. Read a review that pliers worked so I tried that method. The cap popped off. The roller is better used as a blotter to cover sensitive information.

I've seen these little guys years ago on QVC for way more money. I liked the presentation, the novelty - some days a coloring book doesn't get it - and it did cover all information.I wanted to buy it then ended up talked myself out of it those years ago because we had just bought a shredder recently. Like $20 or however much it is/was would've made a difference.Well I'm having a blast with the Mjiya Identy protector roller. It covers everything. No sheerness, no gapping, no glopping of the ink. Yet, somehow I haven't managed to get ink everywhere.It's mindless therapy like drawing circles or whatever your thing is.My only draw back is pay attention to sizes. I bought the pocket size, but am back for family size now.

Very easy to use. I prefer this to a shredder. Makes it impossible to see names or account #'s. The ink rund down rather quickly though or I would have given it 5 stars.

So if your interested in protecting your privacy and don't want to shred EVERYTHING this little doohickey is oddly satisfying in everyday use. As for effectiveness - I can't say if it'll stop a determined dumpster diver but as a casual deterrent - it's muddies whatever's it's rolled over a few times and I can then just put it in the regular recycling instead of my shredder.Plus I get the "sticking it to the man" type feeling as I roll over account numbers etc. on all the bills I get.Like I said oddly satisfying - totally worth it AND I can recycle it as normal.Total privacy I'm not sure but beats doing nothing but miles!Recommended.
