This case has a laminated wood shell. The cover is water resistant, but not waterproof. No case is completely waterproof.

Q: Is there room to stow a shoulder rest in the case?

Yes, there is a place under the neck of the violin that fits collapsable kun rest or resonans type of shoulder rest. It has a velcro band that holds the shoulder rest in place.

Q: How long is the warranty, and is a warranty card included after purchase?

The warranty is one year. There is no warranty card, nor is there a warranty registration required to validate the warranty.
