These are great at relieving pressure on joints - I use them mostly under my wrists when working on the microscope, and they provide instant and long-lasting relief during long days at work.The price is a little steep, but I tried several other similar pads on Amazon, hoping to find a cheaper alternative and these were by far the best. So I ended up spending another $26 to buy a second one since my left wrist was getting jealous from my right. The other models I tried were either too hard or too slippery against the desktop surface, so it made more sense to just spend a bit extra and get a superior product that I can enjoy many times day, several days a week.I can see how people might have problems if they apply heavy pressure to these pads, like resting lots of weight on their elbows. The material is very soft and gel-like and I imagine it would get messed up by heavy pressure, but for mild to moderate pressure, these are perfect. The top-side material is very soft and the gel feels cool to the touch and very soothing. Highly recommended.

Far better than memory foam. The non-slip bottom works very well.

I ordered the Ultragel to pad my drivers side armrest in my 2008 Kia Sorento. For months I had been experiencing tennis elbow type pain in my left elbow. It took me awhile to figure out that I was only uncomfortable when driving. Although this gel pad is too wide for the armrest, I have affixed it securely with adhesive backed Velcro and it hasn’t fallen off yet. It’s very comfortable and my tennis elbow pain is gone! I gave it four stars because it didn’t come with its own adhesive backing.

I was recently diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome, so I bought this pad to protect my elbow from the hard surface of the armrest on my car door. The 4.5"x8.5" pad was a good size for my armrest--not too big, but big enough to cover plenty of area where my elbow might rest. I attached it to the armrest with adhesive Velcro pads. Works very well. The gel pad is very soft, especially compared to the surface of the armrest. The fabric cover comfortably prevents excessive friction and insulates my elbow from the cool temperature of the gel. Since there's no fabric covering the bottom, it didn't interfere with the adhesive Velcro pad. I'm already noticing that my elbow is less irritated, especially on longer drives.

I ordered this pad last week and it arrived quickly. So good for that. However size wise it isn't the size that I purchased. Its more like 4.25 by 8.0. Minor in some aspects but I guess I should have sought out a larger one.Comfort wise its just alright. Nothing spectacular by any means.

I use this every day at work and I've only had it for 2 months and it separated today and all the jell is oozing out. Just checked and the return policy expired exactly 2 weeks ago. It's not a cheap item to only use for 2 months. I'll have to look for something locally because it really helps my elbow pain issue.

At work I need to write a lot. With this pad having cushion effect, I do not have to rest my wrists on the hard surface of table. The larger size is more useful for me. It is because my hands keep moving at work and will not stay in a fix location.

I've used this pad on my desk for a few hours each day over the past few weeks. It is very comfortable and cushions my elbow and forearm nicely.That said, after just a few days of use, huge bubbles began to develop all over under the skin of the cover. I smoothed them down, then they would pop back up again. It doesn't affect the overall comfort of the pad, but it's something that is really annoying to me. At almost thirty bucks, I expected better durability, especially for something that has been subjected to such light use.For comparison, I also own a mouse pad with a gel wrist rest that is covered in similar material. I've been using that pad for 8 years, and it's still in great condition. No bubbles, no peeling of the cover anywhere. It wasn't a crazy expensive neoprene gel mousepad/wrist rest combo, either. That's why I had such great expectations for this product- I figured that if it cost more, it would be an amazing quality pad. Wrong here!!! Don't waste your money on this one, folks. I'll be on the lookout for something more durable.
