Initially, this hanging kit seemed to be a dream come true. We installed following instructions. However, about 6 weeks after installation, the strap broke---while our special needs son was swinging on it. Upon inspection of the strap, we discovered that it has frayed completely through (please see picture).I rarely---if ever--leave reviews. But I don't want anyone else to have the same issue that we did. Our son had been on this swing approx. 15-20 times. A total of about 3 hours---at the most. No wild swinging, twisting, etc. (his sensory issues won't tolerate anything like that). And he was CONSTANTLY adult-supervised.Also, know that we are outside of the window of return/refund. That is not why I am writing this review. The safety issues and potential danger far superseded the money that we are out for a swing strap.

I purchased two sets of these straps. One set I use for a toddler swing in the basement, using both straps. That worked out great! Very safe and sound. Then I purchased another set for an outdoor swing that only required one strap. After multiple hours of use over a period of six weeks, in mid swing, both of my granddaughters plummeted right to the ground when the strap broke midway down the strap. Thankfully, it broke when they were near the ground instead of high up in the air and they are ok. Be careful! Not sure these are suitable for the weight limit described, the girls total weight is around 155 pounds.

I have been looking for nylon webbing for some creative knot tying. I have a few bondage straps, but they are usually too short because they are designed for a certain type of restraint. These are much longer (10' each) and allow for much more creativity. The straps are wide and are not uncomfortable to wear. The included "limb saver" banding can even be used for additional comfort. I know that I'm not reviewing this product as marketed, but the product is rock solid none the less. I highly recommend it.

Beware. The weight rating is not very accurate for these straps. I had a few kids on a swing using these straps, no more than 200-250 lbs in total and the strap stretched and broke. Fortunately, the kids were not going too high on the swing or were near the bottom. Otherwise, there could have been some serious injuries. So the whole 1,800 lb weight rating is not accurate at all, or misleading at best, because it may only apply to something sitting idle. But as the title of the product states, this is a "Tree Swing" hanging kit.

We used the hanging kit for a swing. Very easy to assemble. The only issue we had was finding a ladder tall enough to reach the branch :) My husband and dad both got on the swing prior to my kids to make sure their combined weight of 450+ held and it was very secure. This product gives me peace of mind knowing it won't break while my kids are swinging on their swing.

I hung our tree swing with one of these straps using the felt to pad the tree and the strap ended up ripping and breaking... I thought it was the way I hung it or a weird way the nylon strap was rubbing on the metal D ring. So I hung the second one making sure the thread the strap and hang it so that the D ring was as level as possible with the straps hanging as vertical as possible through the ring so that the strap would hopefully stay level and not slink to one side of the ring, but of course when the swing gets going the strap slips to one side of the ring. I really don’t see how it is possible no matter how level you hang the strap for it to stay perfectly flat through the ring.The second strap also ripped unfortunately but we saw it fraying before it snapped like the first one did.Just wanted to warn those using this strap, especially with kids swings, to be mindful and check the point of tension on the strap to make sure it’s not frayed so it doesn’t snap while someone is using it.

I ordered this for my mother to hang up a bench swing off of a tree in her backyard. The price was incredible for such a great durable product. She absolutely loves it! Thank you!
