Barbie DWD82 Wonder Woman Doll

I love this doll so much! Her outfit captures the movie perfectly and there is so much detail! I really like how the shield and sword has so many engravings on it and they included the tiny leather strap to hold her sword and lasso. I bought the other 2 dolls in the collection too and they look amazing together! The packaging is also really well designed and very cool looking.

Beautiful Wonder Woman doll, arrived yesterday, taken her (carefully!) out of the box today such great details on her armour and accessories, lovely face sculpt very good likeness to Gal Gadot, I've had a little play about posing her before placing her on her display stand - good elbow and knee articulation same as the made to move Barbies. Mattel have done a really good job with this doll.

I was quite disappointed with the quality, given the price of the doll. There were a number of dark marks near some of the joints that would not come off, the 'knee pads' are secured at the back with ugly black elastic that's knotted and sticks out (won't be seen if the doll is on display but is unpleasant to look at, and incredibly cheap looking), the sword sits far too loosely in the hand and falls out with any movement so I had to secure it with one of the clear elastics the doll was packaged with, her arm band came secured with a clear elastic which had to be left on, the cloak is very poor quality and poorly made (no hemming just rough edge of fabric, loose threads etc.) with the 'fur' part looking very different to the pictures (much longer fibres, looking unkempt and scraggly) and has no hood, the belt to which the lasso is attached is very loose and slips out of place frequently (including off the shoulder entirely) , the hair feels horrible- very cheap, and also hard in places due, I assume, to an attempt to set the curls. An attempt which was not terribly successful as the back is a mess. Although there's some decent articulation in the arms there is no point of articulation in the waist and it's limited at the hips meaning your choice of pose is limited to nothing too dynamic.As a positive... the face sculpt is nice? I have it sitting on a shelf on the other side of the room at the moment and it looks fine from this distance, maybe even good.I'm unsure, tbh, as to what specific niche this figure is trying to fill: as a doll to be played with it's acceptable, but would be frustrating (because of the belt, and the sword not staying in place): as a 'collectible' figure to be displayed it leaves a lot to be desired. While I'm aware that £50 is relatively inexpensive for a display figure it is significant enough that I would expect better quality than this. Very disappointing.

Sword kept dropping out of the hand and the base that holds the figure snapped. Shame, otherwise nice product.
