Appears solid, well finished, and pretty heavy! You'll need a 12mm drill bit for the wall fixture, which is a long eyelet screw plus nylon rawl plug. The issue I've found is that the links on the chain are too narrow to fit over the hook the chain is meant to attach to; there's a carabiner on one end to hook to the wall eyelet, but nothing on the other end, so either my chain is intended for another product or the hook is faulty. Reading the reviews, this doesn't seem to have been an issue for others. I could probably return it, but it's not worth it for such a large and heavy object - I'll just need to find another steel carabiner thin enough to fit through the chain.

This is awesome - I can't believe I waited so long to buy it, but at least got it a bit cheaper when I did.It comes in a flat box, probably about waist height and 2/3 as wide and is a little heavy, but I was able to carry it across the road from my work to the bus stop and from the bus stop a few hundred yards to my home without much problem.I have a narrow space outside my flat, about 10ft deep maybe, with an open-slatted fence along one side. And this does seem to be the perfect solution for the space available.The hook provided goes straight through one of the slats in the fence and just about makes it into the post behind, which provides enough stability to prevent the hook from moving. The rest of the construction is very easy, and with the main upright connecting to the base via a 3rd pole, there are 2 points where you can adjust the height.I'm 5' 10" and about 11 stone and there were definitely no concerns over my being too heavy.Everything can be dismantled again and the hook left in place over the winter, although I haven't bothered yet, and am using it for a hanging basket right now! You can move the base away from the wall slightly and then lean it against the wall to save on a bit of space, but it's also high enough to walk under without much issue.

Really good, I use it with my hammock chair and it leans next to my shed out of the way when not in use. It’s very heavy but it needs to be! Easy to use and I’d recommend it. I wasn’t convinced the raw plug would be enough to hold the chain in my brick wall outside but so far so good, have had it for years, and it’s still going strong. It’s so space saving, I love it. I’m sure it works just as well indoors but I use it outdoors in my back garden.

If you fancy a hanging chair and don’t have a forest of your own, this is the item for you. All you need is a vertical wall of some sort to prop it up.Firstly, it’s heavy. Really solid piece of kit which is height adjustable and feels very robust. I’ve been keeping mine indoors when not in use so can’t comment on rust etc.Assembly is really easy BUT you will need to drill a big hole in your wall. I was drilling external brick so drilled first with a smaller bit then increased the size.That is the only tricky part though and I now have the best seat in the house, using the Von Haus hanging chair which seems to be the best priced item I could find on the market.

I bought this stand for my daughters bedroom to hold a hammock chair and her good self. The frame is very strong and pretty heavy which is all good. It does tend to creak and knock a lot when she swings herself, she's only 4 so I am not talking crazy swinging. It is a good stand and is easily assembled, one large hook screw and that's it. The chair is easily removed and the stand pulled back to make space and for safety. It will be easily moved outdoors in the summer once I find another welded hook screw, it not easy to find, to put outside.

Would buy it again. It’s pretty sturdy.

I couldn’t work out how i was going to hang our Cacoon in the garden allowing it to swing! UntilI found the Amazonas. The Amazonas is really well designed sturdy and easy to put together. It looks great in the garden but I imagine it would look great anywhere. Every time I look at it I can’t believe what a great design it is and how well it does the job!
