They add a nice amount of bulk to the bottoms of the joycons. I have large hands so holding the switch can be taxing on my hands for an extended play session. These took that pain away.They have nice cutouts for all the buttons and aren't too think so the buttons are still elevated. My only issue with them is they are a little loose, they slide off a tiny but on the bottom when you use them. I just adjusted how I hold them and it's fine. A fair trade off for having more ergonomic joycons.

Although they cover the joycons properly, they are hard/awkward to use with the straps on.

Too be fair, these would be great if they didn’t slide right off the second you try to actually use the controller. These grips have a little notch at the top that helps them to stay on the joy cons, and if they had the same notch on the bottom I would love these 10/10, whatever. As is they’re unusable. Don’t waste your money.
