Good Value Hard Drive
I got this on sale for $36 and for that this is very good value. It worked the instant I plugged it into my Windows laptop, there’s no setup process or software to download, and it is well-made. Being a mechanical drive, the transfer speeds are slow, but it does get the job done. A portable SSD would be faster and smaller, but if you don’t have the money for that, then I would recommend this.

Did the job as advertised but I needed support
I ordered this to transfer photos from my IPhone to my PC laptop that is too old to do much other than store data. The instructions for the harddrive were non- existent and while I managed to fish my way through transferring onto it from my phone I needed tech support to help locate the drive on my laptop. Turns out it was installed in a weird folder and once found I was able to proceed. Would have liked a more user friendly PRINTED instruction manual

Perfect!
Plugged it into my Dell laptop and it popped right up as D drive. I started moving pictures over then performed the safe removal step and plugged it back in just to make sure everything was compatible and I could open my pictures. It worked great! Thousands of pictures transferred over in about 10mins.

Plug & Play ❤️❤️❤️
Words cannot describe how excited and ready I was to receive this item. I literally have been looking for the perfect external hard drive, and this one is absolutely stunning!!! It's cute and compact. I legit took it right out of the box, connected it to my laptop, and started using it to transfer files from my old thumb drive. I do wish it was more of a metallic gold, but that's just a personal preference. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone and definitely buy it again.

Worked perfect in my Windows PC
Plug and play, no issues with my Windows PC, is just the storage capacity I wanted at a reasonable price. Can't ask for more!

Works good for PS4 games on a PS5
I transferred my PS4 games to this HDD to save space on the internal storage. It gave a warning that it might be too slow to play games properly, but of the games I've bench tested it works fine. For 30 dollars if was a cheap and effective way to add a little space until I can get the cash for a large internal SSD upgrade. The only down side is it took an hour to transfer everything over, but I don't hold that against a disc drive: it's going to do that. This is a solid budget option though.

GREAT PRODUCT,EASY TO USE
I purchased this to store photos on and it's great. It downloads real quick, will accept different formats. I actually just purchased the 1TB one as well.

Perfect for on the go!
Was looking for a small and handy hard drive to take around university campus with decent storage. This fits the bill really well, it was extremely affordable for a portable hard drive and has proven to be sturdy. The metal construction made it really resistant to scratches in my bag and also holds 250gb on the go. The speeds of the drive have been tested, results are shown in the photo. Overall, I am impressed with the speeds especially as this is not an SSD. While typical hard drives have been known to be slower, this one does an excellent job!In conclusion, this is an excellent drive for those looking for some extra storage on the go without having to carry a huge backup drive or a small (yet slower) USB drive. This meets an excellent middle ground!

Updated review: Very quick and easy to install on MacBook Pro
My original review:I needed a handy sized external hard drive to act as a TimeMachine for my 2017 MacBook Pro. This was plug in and use straightaway, no need to download additional software (unlike other external hard drives that I’ve previously purchased). It feels very solid, made of aluminium and plastic.Problem is, many external hard drives still use the old usb style ports, so if you laptop or desktop computer only has USB-C you will need an adapter similar to the one in my picture (dirt cheap on Amazon though), or a replacement cable (which I’ve ordered today off Amazon).Update: June 2020. Just after two year's use, my Maxone has died! It has been kept on my desk to backup my Macbook via TimeMachine, it hasn't been dropped or knocked. But for some reason, it just won't connect to my Macbook anymore. I have checked the cables, and they work fine, and I have tried to connect with my iMac, but not working. It is definitely the Maxone and not my computers or cables. It does come with a 3-year warranty, but I am nowhere can I find how to claim on that warranty. I've therefore reduced my review from 5 stars to 3 stars.

Future problems with this device due to odd output connector?
This is for the 320gb version. Item delivered as described. Now I'm using this as a storage device for my Smart TV (Android). After unboxing, you get the obvious storage device, a user manual and also a connection lead. I should point out that it loses 1 star as the output port on the HDD is one I've never come across before! This means if the supplied lead becomes damaged or you lose it? well, you're going to have a hell of a job finding a replacement! That's really the only downside to this product.Anyway, It's immediately recognised by my computer (USB 3.0 storage device). A quick check and it's formatted as "exFat" and shows as 298gb which is correct (due to different ways storage is read - it is 320gb). Ran a quick disk check and no bad sectors which is always a good start.I then plugged it into my TV which again, recognised it straight away. As I plan on never disconnecting it from the TV, I then let the TV reformat it so it's locked to the TV. A quick check again when all done, and the TV sees the storage capacity as 320gb (oh the quirks eh?!).It will mainly be used for storing audio & video so it wont be dealing with many re-writes to the data. I've tried it quickly with a Film and no buffering issues. What it will be like when nearer to max capacity, only time will tell.As this is a Solid State Drive, I've purposely decided to use it only for audio/video/photos that I intend to keep. Why? SSD drives in my experience start to fail when you are constantly re-writing data to them (i.e. new over old). They excel at one time writes so if only used for data backup, photos, etc, you'll less likely come across them failing.Again, ideal for what I need it for though I'll need to do a hunt and buy a spare lead! Can't really complain though as price is stupidly low.
