Many times, we misunderstand the fill light, thinking that its function is to "fill light" and illuminate the object. But in fact, photography's greatest joy is how to "use light". I used this light 3 times for about 40 minutes each time. The fourth time I used it for 5 minutes, turned it off to conserve battery, tried to turn on and found it dead. The battery will no longer charge or power the light. Now I have to bring a battery bank to plug into it. The battery grip is complete garbage, unreliable and WILL fail. After mine quit I started looking up help to get the battery working and found hundreds of reviews and posts of the battery failing. Zhiyun will probably replace the battery but that doesn’t help me with my job while I wait weeks for it. Definitely not suitable for paid work, unless you want to buy multiple light as backups. At that point, just buy a quality light for less money. You can easily buy an Apurture 150c or 300c for the same money or less with better output and much more reliable.

Got this product several days ago and satisfied so far. It's compact in size. but it's very powerful, you can immediately feel its heat. You will also find some warning in yellow about its heat. Need to be careful. I also tested its CRI, which is around 95 as advertisement said. The package also includes some useful accessories.Like this LED light. Plan to test it outdoor.BTW, read some bad comments about its battery. I don't have such issue. Will update when something bad happens.

if your Battery falldown. your battery will be Dead. not charginng, not going turn on. new Battery very Expensive. batter run from 100W Power bank. more cheaper. annd safe.

A friend and me both purchased these lights around the same time - June of 2023. He has used his a few times a week since then, and myself a bit less, perhaps 10 times total. Typically i keep mine plugged in, and recall using the battery grip 3-4 times. It died on me mid-shoot a few days ago, of which i just assumed it needed a charge - unfortunately, its truly dead. In looking into this issue, it seems very common for gen 1 battery grips to short, and even take a few chargers with them.I am waiting to hear back from the company with hopes of a replacement, but the battery grip is nearly $100, for it to fail after 4 uses is unacceptable.
