As a Chiropractor for the past 25 years, I am always asked about pillows for comfortable, anatomically supportive sleep. This is one I would definitely recommend. This pillow is comfortable, and gives proper cervical support during sleep, at a great price.

I got this pillow to try out and so far it's great. It's comfy to lay on, doesn't get hot, and doesn't take up much room on the bed. Pretty lightweight and holds it's shape during the night. If I had to buy another pillow like this one, I wouldn't have any second thoughts.

I have had bad experiences in finding a pillow which offers firm support, even when it comes to pillows that advertise "never go flat." In my experience, they all go flat at some point. So, I decided to give the buckwheat pillow a try. Overall, I am pleased. The pillow holds its shape. To its credit, the buckwheat fill does not go flat. It offers firm support. It is moldable to the curve of the neck. I did not notice any type of buckwheat odor. I did not notice any type of crackling sound when I laid my head on the pillow. My only criticism: The pillow is smaller than advertised by a good 2 to 3 inches at least. Maybe when the pillowcase is empty, then the dimensions are accurate. Otherwise, no. It is smaller when filled. With any tossing and turning during sleep, one runs the risk of his head falling off the pillow. For example, I started off lying on my back with head centered in the pillow. When I turned on my side, I sometimes had to reposition the pillow to still be under my head. That is a mild annoyance. Otherwise, though, I am generally pleased. I also liked that it came with extra hulls so that a person can customize the height and firmness to his preference.

I decided I needed a more cool pillow. My current pillows or just too hot. So I tried this buckwheat pillow for the first time. Does have a cooler advantage. When I place my head on the pillow it was very clear that I would not have any problems with excess heat. What I didn't expect was how amazingly comfortable it was. The buckwheat were a little too hard for me. So, I took some out. That did the trick ... perfect, perfect neck support and head support. I also bought another one to place between my knees for comfort. Again, it was amazingly supportive. I highly recommend and I would not hesitate to buy another one!

The title will probably make this look like a fake review but I promise you this is real. absolutely love this pillow It is way better than anything I've used before. It is very firm which I like, if you don't like firm you probably won't like it. It does have the bean bag sound when you move it around so if that sound would bother you, you probably won't want it. It is smaller than a standard pillow and quite a bit heavier. But if you want something that's easy to mold to your head's shape that provides great support and is a very firm pillow this is what I would recommend. The difference in being able to rest comfortably at night is night and day. I used to toss and turn for ages trying to find a comfortable position now that time is drastically reduced. obviously a lot about the perfect pillow comes down to a person's preferences and this just suits what I like. If you like firm moldable pillows and don't mind the bean bag sound I would highly recommend you try this and being able to stuff your desired amount of fill in it is added bonus That helps tailor it to your preferred height off the bed.

Too hard and heavy for my taste

I bought this to replace an older buckwheat pillow. It was well packaged, arrived with the extra buckwheat. However, I found that I liked the heavier cotton cover on the old pillow. This one loses one star since the newer cover is a more "slippery" maybe nylon or rayon infused fabric and I can't always get it adjusted under my neck properly since the buckwheat hulls sort of slide within the cover more. I ended up taking the old hulls out of the old pillow and refilling the old cover with the new hulls. It was a good quality cover, just not for me.
