Exceeded My Expectations
I'm trying, some may argue unsuccessfully, to cut back on refined sugars and take back my health as much as I'm able. Leaning on a suggestion with no real guidance, I researched whey protein powder with grass-fed whey and no artificial sweeteners. Enter Naked Whey.We bought a one-pound container of chocolate to start, to test the waters and see how good (or bad) it was going to be. I tried it in my coffee at first, which gave it a chocolatey flavor I liked with not much added sweetening. I liked that. Then, I got adventurous and plopped two rounded scoops into my blender with a cup of unsweetened almond milk and a cup of ice. That, my friends, is the magic (even better with a ripe banana tossed in for a slightly sweet shake). The consistency, the thickness achieved with a bit of ice and some Ninja blender power, is bliss. I don't think it needs sweeteners at all, though Hubby would disagree. The shake is filling, an excellent source of clean protein, and delicious. We just bought the vanilla, along with a refill on the chocolate (our second one-pounder), so I'm looking forward to trying that flavor, too.Trying to get some extra protein into your diet? Don't look further than Naked Whey. It's worth every penny.

CHOCOLATEY, CREAMY AND DELICIOUS
I have been looking for a SIMPLE INGREDIENTS protein shake that doesn't have stevia and this one is AMAZING. I had the regular chocolate one and that one sold me on the brand. I ordered double chocolate and WHOA... creamy, thick, chocolatey goodness and it has the added benefits of potassium and sea salt. AND NO DISGUSTING STEVIA AFTERTASTE. This is my new fave go to!I have been mixing it with just water when on the go and it tastes just like chocolate milk, and just a touch of sweetness. I find it's better to start the mix with a bit of room temp water and then add a bit of ice or colder water on top.People talk

Excellent Product But Inaccurate Serving Size On Label
*UPDATE:It has been a few weeks and I still haven’t receive and a response let alone any acknowledgment of the product label issue from Naked Nutrition. It is a bit of a letdown as I really enjoy the product and their customer service appears to be nonexistent. I’ll continue to use this product for now until I find something equivalent or better to replace it with. It doesn’t sit right with me that they have basically ignored my concerns. Before I address the serving size issue that I discovered in this product, I want to mention my thoughts on this great product. The Naked Whey Chocolate 1lb product is the best tasting whey protein (& ease to mix) product that I have tried so far. And believe me, I have tried many over the last 10 years or so. The Chocolate flavor of this product comes from the cacao powder and coconut sugar. It is a very light chocolatey taste that is not overpowering and provides just enough flavor to get the product down without leaving behind an undesirable aftertaste that sometimes comes with other products that use artificial ingredients/sucralose. Some people have said in reviews on here that its not flavorful enough - well lemme tell you - a protein shake isn't a dessert. It isn't meant to be a milkshake from In N Out. Its a nutritional product to help you reach your training goals. I'd also say that the flavor and mixing is greatly dependent on how much product you combine with what proportion of water. I combine 2 servings (76g of powder) with 15oz of water (or 38g of powder to 7-8oz of water). That has been the perfect ratio for me for chocolate. Try it and I think you'll be happy with it. But ultimately it does come down to personal preference.Mixing wise, I haven't experienced any lumps at all. The product (using my powder to water ratio) is super smooth after shaking it. My technique for shaking the bottle (and avoiding lumps) is to turn it upside down immediately after I add the water - slap the bottom of the bottle to allow the powder on the bottom to release into the water - and shake the bottle for a while upside down before finishing shaking right side up. I let the bottle sit for about 30-45 minutes at room temperature so that all of the frothy foam can settle down. Meanwhile I go about my workout during this time period, and afterwards I have liquid gold. The mistake that people make is that they shake the bottle right side up the entire time and the bottom of the bottle where the powder is gets stuck there. Also people try to drink the shake immediately with all of the frothy foam present which makes for an unpleasant experience. Honestly the directions on the product label should explain some of these best practices. But anywho, so to get to the serving size issue. I recently brought this to the attention of Naked Nutrition a few days ago and I am still awaiting a response. But I have noticed that in the Naked Whey 1lb (Chocolate) the serving size is way off when using 2 scoops with the included scooper. I love this product but in my experiment testing the accuracy of the nutrition's facts label serving size using the included scooper, I found that a true serving size (2 scoops) weighed 58g instead of 38g. I have included a photo showing this. I used two different scales zeroing out the weight with an empty container. I put one LEVELED OFF scoop into a container and it registered 29g. I added a 2nd LEVELED OFF scoop and the total weight was 58g. The nutrition label listed serving size for 2 scoops is 38g. That means that the true weight of a 2 scoop serving size is 20g higher than what your company has listed. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) allows for nutrition facts on the label to be off the mark by no more than 20% of the listed value. However 58g represents a value that is 52.62% higher than the label listed serving size of 38g. Also if the true serving size (using their scooper) is this off, that also means that the servings per container is incorrect as well. Additionally, I LEVELED OFF each scoop whereas the directions on the product label advise to "Add two ROUNDED scoops of Naked Whey to 6-10 oz of water..." If I had followed the product directions and ROUNDED each scoop, the true serving size would have been higher than 58g. Therefore, the product directions also need some adjustment. I am not sure if the included scooper in this product is the culprit. Or whether the listed serving size is a miscalculation that the company has made failing to properly account for the density and volume of this product given the added coconut sugar and cacao powder within the protein powder. I have come across a number of reviews on Amazon and other sites that show customers complaining that they seemed to go through the product much faster than the number of servings listed on the label. In my opinion, this is clearly why. Those customers either did not have a food scale at home or even think that the serving size would be inaccurate. While this inaccuracy is annoying since you'd have to use a food scale to get very accurate serving sizing per shake, the product itself is rock solid.

Tastes great after fixing my mixing technique
I bought this because of the good reviews for the double chocolate flavor. Initially I mixed one scoop in some cold milk - it tasted okay though it didn't mix well and tasted only mildly of chocolate. Then I read the label and figured out that the serving size is two scoops. The next time, I mixed differently- added two scoops to an empty cup, then added a little hot water, stirred briskly until it dissolved, then mixed with cold milk. Mixed much better this way, and had a rich chocolate taste. This brand is pricy and I cannot get it in Costco. Otherwise I like that it tastes natural and has no artificial additives.

Wow
I've tried many other protein powders and inevitably they always had a sort of wonky "off" taste to them that made them taste disgusting. I just figured that must be how whey protein is since it seemed every one I tried was like that. Well I was wrong because this whey doesn't have that at all. I mixed it with milk and it's just like a lightly sweet chocolate drink, no weird taste. And it's funny since this is only 3 ingredients... so the other ones must be adding ingredients that make it taste worse. Why? Oh well, I know which one I'll be buying from now on.

It’s good once you get used to it.
The taste is definitely a cocoa just not as sweet as I’m used to with all the artificial ingredients from other products. I wanted to get away from the fake stuff with the weird additives. Glad I did though. Took a few days but now I really like it. Ive been using the chocolate flavor as a substitute for coffee creamer to make a little mocha coffee drink. I also bought vanilla to mix with frozen berries as a shake which is really good. If you’re on the fence I’d say give just it a shot!
