Got the cooler earlier then expected, just good timing for the hot weather, lovely colour changing and really helpful little machine, can cool us down when feel hot, and even better if put some ice in water tank, acceptable noise.The only down side is cannot use it too long, my husband said it’s not designed for heavy duty, we normally use it about 5 or 6 hours in the day time. My friend bought a same one as she saw mine, but she used it for 24/7, even night time her husband got up to fill the tank, so it’s broken after two weeks.

Don't buy this item its a piece of crap. It worked all for the total of one hour and died never to work again. Its basically a square piece of plastic with the noisiest 120mm computer fan possible inside, and has 60 gsm blotting papper construde in a fashion that soaks up said water from the tank which by the way leaks like a coulinder. And it took nearly 3 weeks to deliver. Want something to cool you down, spend the money and buy an air conditioner.Review Edition: Okay after taking it apart, I had discovered that the electrical circuitry is right next to the water tank, condensate on the outside of the tank basically dripped down and shorted it all out and in turn destroyed the fans cicuitry (fan deceased). After carefully acessing this clear design build stupidity, not all is lost. Buy yourself a good 120mm PWM computer fan and some good electrical silicone sealant/adhesive and go about to making this device the way it should of been made in the first place and you wont be disappointed.

Great little gadget...great value as other brands that are identical sell up to 50 pound plus..i put oils in the water and it doubles up as an air freshner. Ideal for small room ..i.e office.

This cube is perfect for those who need air conditioning that is compact and portable. This device was a lifesaver during the recent heatwave!!It works through the night, covering a good 8 hour stint with the single tank fill, if you do not place the unit on the lower of the three settings. There are three speed settings, the lowest provides a gentle air circulation, the speed two a slight breeze and the third is the most powerful setting. This device works in larger spaces, however to feel the impact it is better utilised in a closed room, rather than open plan space.There are about 7 colour changes in the selection of ambience settings, including yellow, purple, green, red and three shades of blue - so there is a colour to suit everyone. Additionally, there is an option for no colours too!The device has a USB lead so can connect to a computer or power bank I guess for camping, or for travel.The filter is great as it must clean the air too, but I cannot give any details as to the efficacy of the unit, especially given the water element for the air conditioning. However, it does make breathing seem easier when experiencing dry heat.I LOVED this gadget and used it every single night during the summer, and sometimes in the day too. It was certainly heavy duty enough to work all night, then after a break in the morning to resume work again when the BIG heat arrived in the afternoon.I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this compact air conditioning unit, as it takes up a small amount of space and can moved around the home as needed. Next year, I will probably invest in a second unit given the success I had with this unit!!! Great price given the functionality too!!!TIP: To really get this working like a high spec air condition, we tend to add one-third water and two-thirds ice cubes to the tank. This is perfect for those sticky summer nights, where you need to cool down when you hit the sack!

Super product. Its clearly not an air conditioner. But what it does so effectively is freshen the room or personal space by pulling "heavy" warm air through the filters and pushing out cooler air. On humid nights, its a life saver in terms of getting to sleep. And its surprisingly quiet. Yes, it took 4 weeks to arrive, but at such a great price, I am not going quibble. And a word about Joanna, customer services. She was fantastic, our shocking customer services in the UK could learn a thing or two from her about how to manage customer expectations. 5 stars for her, and 4 for a very good product.

I used this with refrigerated water and ice cubes, and it did give pretty cool air. After about 3 weeks though the filter went mouldy and it started giving off an unpleasant smell. Even thought replacement filters are available i think i'm just going to invent in a more permanent air conditioning unit that doesn't rely and already cool water to cool an area.

I read all the reviews, good and bad, before purchasing. I paid £21 + delivery and i'm very satisfied. Yes, there is little to unit and if you don't keep it on a flat surface (which is not difficult!) it will leak, but it does what it says it will.....produce a cool flow of air. Unlike some reviews I've not found that it is capable of cooling a room, but i have it on the bedside table blowing lovely cool air on me preventing that horrible sticky feeling during this hot weather. Each to their own but i couldn't be happier with it!

I have no idea why this is getting 5 stars. I can only imagine people are not housed in really hot, stifling conditions.This thing is utterly useless. In the unlikely event it could cool a 12' by 12' room, it would take at least a week judging by the week power output of the fan. It really is like someone just blowing moderately hard, that's on max. 1 litre of water on maximum (the fan only has 3 speeds and there's just no point using the other 2) gets evaporated in an hour or so.My oscillating fan standing 3 ft high cycles more air than this rubbish. I waited several weeks to get it and I'll be putting it on my front wall by the pavement for someone else to pick up because now it's just a £16 paper weight.
