Blue Ridge Brand™ Light Amber Fire Glass - 5-Pound Professional Grade Fire Pit Glass - 1/2" Glass Rocks for Fire Pit and Landscaping

I like the color of this glass next to the flame in my firepit. It's a lot more natural looking than the vivid blue, green or even clear glass that I normally see. 10 lbs is sufficient to fill the bottom of the burner area leaving the circlular flame tube exposed on my firetable. However, it isn't enough to cover the flame tube if that's what you want to do. You'll probably need 15 - 20 lbs to do that. I already hade 5 lbs of clear glass that came with the firetable. I put this 10lbs on top of that 5 lbs of glass and it covers the flame tube to my satisfaction. This glass also did not 'pop' and crackle like the original fireglass did. The popping and crackling of the first glass load always made me a bit nervous. Glad this glass didn't do that.I don't expect to have to replace this glass as it should last as long as the firetable. But if I'm incorrect I'd buy this product again and I heartily recommend it.

I love these purple glass stones! Our fire pit came with the bland lava rock (ick) but these really make the fire so much more enjoyable. They don't scream purple, you really only see the color when the flames are right and shine through the glass. They have a beautiful reflection, too, that adds so much to the beauty of the fire. I got two bags, but I think I will be getting at least one more, to build up more of a mound on the fire, and also to place into our small fountain to reflect the lovely purple color with the built in light. They are a bit jagged, but really, you have to expect that with glass pieces. Just rinse them through a colander before pouring them into your fire pit (or fountain) so you won't have to clean the thing of the glass powder. I highly recommend this product and will be getting more!

These are some nice chunks of glasses. Much bigger than some of the smaller glasses advertised on Amazon. Ordered 20 lbs but only used 10. Could have used about 13 lbs to be perfect. Nice amber glow which I prefer over lava rocks. One caution when setting up for the first time - Do not dump entire bag, the plastic bag has a lot of glass power at bottom and it's not good to have the powers burning. I made the mistake of dumping the entire bag and had to recoup, clean out the fire pit, washed the glasses and reset. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I anticipated. Hard to find a small amount of glass rocks for a indoor gas fireplace here on Amazon and Blue Ridge seemed to be the only company that sells small amounts. The rocks are kind of sharp so they will scratch surfaces like glass and metal so be careful. The color is exactly like the picture as well. Also, if you are buying this for an indoor fireplace it's the perfect amount of rocks to cover the surface around. I have 2 extra handfuls from this purchase and I own the Regal Flame Avon indoor fireplace. The picture isn't as clear and colorful because it's dark but you can see the color of the rocks.

We love the way the glass looks in our gas fire pit. The only downside is that it definitely took some prep before we were able to add them to the pit.There were a lot of small glass shards and fine glass powder at the bottom of the bag we received. We had to do a lot of rinsing and sorting of the glass pieces which was a bit of a pain. But it only had to be done once. So we got over it.Overall it added a great look to our fire pit, but it was not ready to use out of the box.

Received item today after long delay. Packing wasn't done adequately and it was held for inspection which cause a three day delay. Nice size and great color. I made the mistake by buying 1/4 inch at first purchase. Way to small. 1/2 inch so much better. Took three ten lbs bags after filling with lava rocks to bottom of burner

This product is definitely not as light purple as the photo in the description. The color is very dark, and almost hard to tell if it is purple or black. There was also a shipping issue that delayed it for over 2 weeks, but the seller was very responsive and sent a replacement out quickly, but because of the color disparity I can only give 2stars.

These are pretty and look very nice in our fire table. Yes, as with all glass, there are some small pieces that have to be navigated while putting the rocks in place. I suggest wearing some garden gloves with rubber palms to prevent the microcuts possible during installation. You may also want to rinse the rocks to remove dust before you add them to your fire feature. We are very happy with the way they look and receive lots of complements!
