Fitmykitchen Kitchen Door Cord Bin 12 Litre

Bought to replace an identical one which was fitted when we had our kitchen fitted over 18 yrs ago. The lid has two holes at the back one at each side which clips it onto the fixings which are screwed onto the cupboard door and holds both the lid and the bin. A bit of the plastic around one of the hole broke on the old lid and wouldn't function properly but after 18 years of constant use it's a testament to it's durability. We didn't need to replace the fixings on the door we just replaced the lid, bin and the new cord. It comes with fitting instructions which is slightly different to how our is fitted but it seems straightforward enough to follow. I have been more than pleased with the old bin and couldn't believe my luck to find they still produced it and if it lasts as long as long as the old one it'll out live the rest of the kitchen.

I wish I checked further into this item. I purchased this to replace one I have had for several years that has now given up the ghost.Unfortunately, you can't remove the lid from the unit to remove the used disposable bag the has been inserted to hold rubbish. You have to remove the container from the unit door, a bit of a nuisance to replaceStill looking for one similar to my original

Used to have similar bin in previous house, but recently had one with lid that swings out of the way on a hinge. Always falling off and very noisy. This was fairly easy to install, after a bit of lateral thinking, but works perfectly -doesn't need to open fully for most usage. Very pleased with it.

This is a neat solution for an under the sink waste bin.It is not large, but I do not like a big bin, as the stale food can fester in a larger one, which I feel is unhygienic.I am very pleased with it.

I previously had a door bin (not this product) and found it an invaluable space saver. Out with the old kitchen, in with a new bin under sink. It's great. Easy to fit and it's good that it's hands free with the cord lifting the lid for you. Great idea. Small kitchen bin liners fit over the bin base and it's easy to clean. Love it. What's not to like.

Excellent value..for under £20 brilliant.. I am 83, a widow and not very good at fixing things myself but had no problem whatsoever, delighted. Cord could have been a little longer but not a problem, easy to extend. Score....ten out of ten.

Perfect for under the sink. Super easy to install. Bin compartment detaches easily for changing bags / cleaning. Only thing that would make it better is if the lid opened to a full 90 degrees. To be fair, I don't think with the kind of pulley mechanism this is actually possible. Mine stops at around 70 degrees which is more than enough. You can always just use your hands to lift it also though! One tip, make sure to check the measurements (280mm wide. 320mm high. 240mm depth off the door ) and allow at least 150mm between the top of the bin and top of the door you're planning to attach it to.

We had been looking for an automatic lid opening bin to go under our sink for food waste. Had looked at many others for a lot more money that didn't do anything more than this does. It was so simple to it and works perfectly. Recommended product.
