2 carats was a great size for earrings. My wife doesn't like to wear large jewelry. This was great size. (Each earring is 1 carat) I put them in a jewelry box that, when you open it, an LED lit lights up the diamonds. Stunning! Rarely have I seen her (we have been married for 36 years) get excited about a gift. She was very excited when she opened the box. When you have married for a long time it is hard to buy gifts for each other. Most of the time I think I have failed to pick something she really liked.
