Absolutely great skirt! I really hate to buy clothes without being able to try them on, but this skirt far exceeded my expectations! I have been searching for a dressy, brown skirt for ages (heaven forbid stores provide wardrobe basics anymore!), and the color is gorgeous (true to picture, a rich chocolate brown). I was actually quite impressed with the material---sturdy and thick---and the pleats fall perfectly every time while the back zipper lays absolutely flat (unlike other reviewers' comments). The fit is great *IF* it is what you are expecting/wanting: this skirt is designed to be worn high on the natural waist (at the bellybutton) and accentuate the smallest part of your torso, then flare out over your hips to give an hourglass shape. It is an extremely flattering cut, and the skirt has great movement, but be prepared to measure your natural/high waist when deciding what size to buy (I'm 5'6, 125lbs, smaller waist but hips, normally a 6-8 size and the medium was perfect and true to the measurements given). Very highly recommend in terms of quality and overall appearance, and the price is unbeatable for what you get! I'm even thinking about purchasing another color.

I am 5'7" and usually wear a size 6 skirt (size 8 or 29 waist in Abercrombie jeans if that helps). I ordered the medium brown and it fit perfectly, with the band at the waist. The pleats were perfect. The brown is a nice chocolate tone. There is a string of thread hanging at the hem that I intend to secure, and the belt is a cheapie, hence the removal of a star, but for the price I don't mind changing out the belt. The skirt has a flattering fit and the fabric has a nice weight, it doesn't look cheap. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my work wardrobe, and I'm ordering the charcoal too!

When the skirt arrived I put it away in my closet awaiting warmer weather. I brought it out a few days ago and inspected it more closely, only to find several thin brown streaks on the white skirt that are permanent and will not come out. Also, the zipper is very poorly sewn in and buckles and does not lay flat when wearing. I would like to return this skirt, but of course I am a few days past the 30-day return window so it is a total loss. Beware of the inferior quality of this garment!

This skirt is very cute, I'll say that. I ordered an XL and it was VERY small. I would suggest ordering at least one and maybe two sizes larger than you would normally if you want this to fit you. Also, I ordered the purple "plum" color and it is in fact, a deep plum color. But NOTHING at all resembling the image on screen - which appears to be a medium-to-light lavender / purple. It's almost an eggplant purple. Which is nice too, but not what I expected. If you can get this to fit you, and work with the color they send you, this skirt would be great for work or a night out. But Amazon really needs to require more of their sellers - especially with clothing - to have their description more closely match the items they are selling. In the meanwhile, this skirt will be returned.

Meh.. Its pretty lame. Looks cute in the picture, but its kind of too large to wear. I have yet to wear it out.

I received my Ivory pleated skirt within days of ordering it. It came out of its plastic wrap pleated and unwrinkled. How did they do that? I wore it today and got tons of compliments. I sat in a chair comfortably all afternoon and still came out looking perfectly pleated front and back and the length was perfect at barely below my knee. As for the size, I am short (4'11") and stocky at 125 lbs (39 34 38). I ordered the large (it also had a 34 inch waist) and it fit just fine but I think I will order a medium next time because of the slight give in the contoured wide waistband. Being short, a slight change in weight will change my waist size. This gives me the option of going large or medium depending on a 5 lbs change in weight. The price is LOW but the material and stitching are good. Biggest thing I loved about it were the pleats. Very, very slimming with just the right amount of flare and it moves beautifully. Will buy several so keep these in stock Amazon!

Great skirt! The material is heavy enough that you don't need to wear a slip and don't have to worry about it blowing up on windy days. The skirt sits at about my natural waist and is very flattering. It hits right at my knee (I am 5'7" with long legs and often have a hard time finding skirts that are long enough to be professional) and is modest and appropriate for professional wear without being frumpy. The zipper in the back kind of dips inward at the bottom, causing a minor awkward-looking flare at the back of the skirt, but I think this will go away with wear/wash (not that I have any idea how to wash it, with the pleats). The skirt is true to the size charts and the belt is a little flimsy but could easily be replaced with another thin belt if need be. I will definitely be buying this skirt in more colors!

This is a cute little skirt, and better quality than expected for the price. It looks almost exactly the same as in the photos. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because (1) the belt is super cheap and basically useless (I wore it with a different belt), and (2) there is one place along the back zipper that the skirt kind of pulls and creates a small lump. But this is easily hidden by a sweater or jacket that I almost always wear anyway.For the price, I thought it was great.
