Fits supplies well, however, will probably break after a few times of use.
In theory, this is a great bag. However, it is very cheaply made and the buckles fall off regularly. In fact, mine came without one of the buckles.. which I’m assuming fell off during the packing process. Size-wise, this fits my supplies perfectly. I just wish there was evidence that it would stay in a usable state for longer than a week.

Excellent purchase for a plein air artist.
Absolutely wonderful. My Strada Easel, Tripod, over a dozen brushes and wet panel carriers for 14”x18” and many smaller panels for plein air work, sketchbooks, pencils and pens, paint tubes, everything fits in beautifully in this well-crafted bag. It’s easy to set up and pack up as things are easy to find in their designated pockets. Easy to carry!

Sturdy, well constructed and a handy art pack
I love to do Plein Aire painting. Though I often just use watercolor blocks for those sketches, I wanted to be able to use as large as a half sheet of watercolor paper (15x22) for my painting. This backpack allows me to carry everything except a chair! It carries the paper on a watercolor paper stretcher board, palette, brushes, sketchbook, pens, pencils, erasers, and even the easel! It is well constructed. The zipper appears to be a fairly heavy and sturdy one. I would expect to find it on a pair of jeans, not in a moderately inexpensive art backpack. I look forward to using this to bring the joy and beauty of the landscape to my paintings.

Pretty decent and we'll priced
This portfolio backpack is very effective and keeps your artwork dry and protected. The only downside is that there isn't rigidity in the portfolio itself and using the backpack feature is a little awkward and you risk curling/bending your works if they are larger. A lot of other portfolios are very expensive and this one does just as good of a job for a better price.

Great pockets! Bag size is just right - not too big, not too small!
Great pockets of various sizes. Nice sturdy fabric. Zippers worked (one zipper was a little stiff, but I tried it a few times and it's OK). The inner lining will provide some protection from moisture (i.e. a very light rain), but because I will be using it in a marine environment, I bought a bigger vinyl bag to enclose it. I put a 17x23bulletin board in it, which gives it some rigidness for me to carry as a backpack - with enough room for other stuff. I would not use it as a backpack with only "soft" papers - they'll bend. Carry handle is comfortable.

Holds a ton but not the nicest quality
I got this to carry my supplies while going to and from my preliminary art classes in design school and it was great. All my friends in class thought it was super cool and a couple of people bought their own. I loved it because it held everything I needed for my drawing, 2-D design, 3-D design, and color theory classes. The big disappointment is that the area around the zipper was fraying when I got it and just got worse from there

Good bag for the price
I used the Transon Art Portfolio Backpack to carry 2 large and 1 small sketch books, a variety of pencils, charcoals, erasers and other materials to class. It held up well and made it manageable to bring the large sketchbooks (18x24) to class by bus and walking. And it was cheaper than renting a locker for the semester. My sister then used it for her painting class, where she carries large canvas sheets and heavy oil paints, brushes and other materials. The backpack held up decently. There was one clasp that came unsewn, making it so one of the flaps is not held down, but that is an easy fix with needle and thread. The bag was ok quality, but good for the price and my needs. There are loose threads and the edge of the fabric is not hemmed(?), but is unfinished on the inside of the bag/pockets, so there is some fraying. The bag is a bit awkward to wear as a backpack and to carry, but that is due to me being small and short (5'2"). The bag would drag on the ground if I didn't lift it carefully. Taller people will not have this issue. :)I liked the style and color of the bag as well. Overall, it worked for my purposes, but if you are going to use it more than once a week for a year, I would invest more money and get something that is a little higher quality. I was happy with the quality, as it fit my needs, but some people would not be.Overall, its a good bag for the price.

Definitely worth the price.
Used the remote to give a more visual ideal of the size of the bag...it’s huge!! It has multiple pockets and two ways it can be carried as a portfolio bag or as a traditional book bag. The material feels thick and the inside has a thin lining...sure it can fit an 18x24 sketchbook easy without worrying about bending or leaving it half hanging out.
