Xume 58mm Lens Cap

I bought this lens cap along with a lens adaptor and a number of filter holders. I have to option to put on one of several filters before I begin my shooting for the day. I have been an amateur photographer for over 50 years. Anytime I am not actively shooting, a lens cap is always on my camera. In that way, the lens or filter is always protected. This lens cap cannot be used for this purpose. You can't simply put the lens cap over the filter being used. The only way to put it on the camera is to remove whatever filter is already there. And then you have to put that filter someplace safe but easily accessible. Then, when you want to resume picture taking you have to reverse the process, possibly missing the picture you wanted to take!! What is needed is a lens cap that can fit over the filter you are using or in some way attaches to the camera by means of a magnet or otherwise. Then, the filter is protected but the lens cap can be easily and quickly removed to resume shooting.At the end of the day, when you finally put the camera away, this lens cap has some value. Otherwise, it is totally useless - a total waste of money. It seems like the lens cap was designed by someone who has never gone out taking pictures!

If you use the Xume system, get the lens caps!!!
